STAR WARS: A Detailed Look At The Original Leader Of The Knight Of Ren's Lightsaber Revealed

The upcoming Star Wars: The Lightsaber Collection pulls back the curtain on the Galaxy's most noteworthy lightsabers, and that includes The Ren's, the original leader of the sinister Knights of Ren!

Insight Editions is set to release a new book, Star Wars: The Lightsaber Collection, on October 20.

The book allows readers to explore the legendary lightsabers found within the Star Wars galaxy, featuring fan-favorite hilts from the Skywalker saga, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, comics, novels, and video games. The book will give fans a closer look at the fine craftsmanship of hilts, including Ben Solo’s Jedi lightsaber and Ezra Bridger’s blaster-saber hybrid, as well as behind-the-scenes details on their designs and brief bios on the characters who carried them.

This lightsaber fits into the "comics" category, as it reveals a much closer look at the one wielded by The Ren. The original leader of the Knights of Ren recently appeared in a comic book detailing Ben Solo's fall to the Dark Side, and fell at the hands of Kylo Ren shortly after they met.

The rest of the Knights of Ren - who were never fully explored in the Star Wars sequels - turned on their new leader when he returned to the Light side, and also ended up being killed by him.

The Ren's lightsaber looks pretty badass, and it's a pity we never got to see more of the villain.

I thought that "Ren" was an ancient religion, alternative to the Jedi or Sith. That's what I thought before I knew that Ren was a bare-chested idiot. xD

To this day I still wonder why the Knight of Ren were in the sequel trilogy. At no point did they have active involvement in the plot. I thought that Snoke was their leader, but that fell through now we know Palpatine pulled the strings.

As for Palpatine, after watching the Prestige (Angier says that he never knew if he was the clone or the real Angier) I decided that in my headcanon Rey killed a mere clone, who thought he was the real deal, of the real Palpatine that was killed by Anakin.

The Knights Of Ren

Pros

Cool design
Looked bad ass
Interesting back story

Cons

Did f*ck all with them

Focus too much on super duper Rey Palpatine.

The Knights of Ren are the only real disappointment for me with the new trilogy. They were a big missed opportunity and they Boba Fetted them hard.

@Ha1frican - The "only" disappointment? I wish I had your low standards.

Imagine a scene where Rey and Luke team up side by side to fight the Knights of Ren.

In hindsight everything about this trilogy was based on the wrong decisions.

None of this can be true. The just can't have got it so wrong. Fake lightsabre for fake characters in a fake film. Fu*k Disney and KK & JJ. Fu*k blue milk. Fu*king fake sh*t.
