STAR WARS: Boba Fett Actor Mark Austin REALLY Isn't Happy With Disney Renaming Slave I

You may not be familiar with Mark Austin's name, but he suited up as Boba Fett in the "Special Edition" of Star Wars: A New Hope. He also played the iconic Bounty Hunter in the No Disintegrations series that was launched in 2017, and clearly feels a sense of ownership over the character.

We recently learned that Disney made the decision to rename Slave I as "Boba Fett's Starship," and while a reason hasn't been given for the change, it's likely because many companies are moving away from terminology like "slave" and "master" in the wake of last year's #BlackLivesMatters protests.

Regardless, Austin has taken to Twitter over the past couple of days to express his feelings on the matter, and he's clearly unhappy with the iconic starship losing its classic moniker.

A lot of fans are disappointed with the decision, but it doesn't necessarily seem like the end of the world - though you wouldn't know it based on reactions like this.

It's unclear how this name change will be reflected in live-action, but The Book of Boba Fett likely won't make any mention of "Slave I." Then again, you could probably count on one hand how many times it's been referred to by name!
