STAR WARS EPISODE IX: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER - Check Out 15 Hi-Res Official Stills From The Movie

Earlier today, the first trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was released and, well, we've still not quite got our heads around that shocking final scene!

Now, we usually share hi-res screenshots from trailers here on CBM but we're doing one better for you now: Lucasfilm has released 15 incredible images highlighting all the key moments, and any one of these is arguably wallpaper worthy. They also give us the opportunity to delve into some of the awesome reveals featured throughout the teaser.

Personally, my theory is that Kylo Ren is actually training Rey in that scene with the TIE Fighter and that he is the Skywalker who rises to put an end to the Emperor once and for all. We'll see.

For now, be sure to check out these Episode IX images by hitting the "View List" button below!

Honestly, if Rey truly is a Skywalker, i'd be super cool with it. :3

Although i always wanted her as a...product of the Force, just like Anakin.
Not a Skywalker, Kenobi or whatever.

But yeah, i'd rather have a Legacy character than...a frikin nobody...

But if she was indeed a product of the Force, you could really tie the whole saga with this one plot point, maybe even use a character like Darth Plagueis.
And shhiiiieeet, i can already hear ppl bitching about "mhu fan service"! :P Way i see it, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't, so f*ck it.

Not sure how I feel about a "rise" movie being the final installment. Maybe since Luke wanted the Jedi religion to end, all light side sensitive force wielders practice through the Church of Skywalker? That's all I can figure

@inkniron - - I think it’s just a riff on how angry/grouchy Mark Hamill keeps getting about everything. =c)

I'm really hoping this doesn't turn out to be this year's Alien: Covenant/JW: Fallen Kingdom.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - That VO doesn't even fit with TLJ. He says he'll teach her three lessons, I think does two, then the film forgets about the third. As far as Luke was concerned, the books were destroyed, why's he for her having them now?

It's like a different film took place before ROTS (oh my god, just realised this basically ruins the Revenge of the Sith acronym).. TROTS

@Nebula - The third lesson was in a deleted scene which is probably one of the stupidest decisions they could have made.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - To be fair, it was established in ANH Luke was a milk lover. On second thought, never mind, that was disgusting.
