Hera is voiced by Vanessa Marshall (Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy), and executive producer Dave Filoni describes her as “ a very strong-minded character - kind of the heart of the group, [shes] keeps everyone together when they would otherwise fall apart.” Because EW still haven't made their videos embedabble, you'll have to click the link below to watch her introduction vid..but we'll update as soon as a Youtube version becomes available.

Anyway, that does it for our intros to the crew of the Ghost. What do you make of this new group of rebels?

"Star Wars Rebels’ continues the epic tradition of the legendary ‘Star Wars’ saga with all-new exciting, action-packed adventures. It is a dark time in the galaxy, as the evil Galactic Empire tightens its grip of power from world to world. As the series begins, Imperial forces have occupied a remote planet, ruling with an iron fist and ruining the lives of its people.

But there are a select few who are brave enough to stand up against the endless Stormtroopers and TIE fighters of the Empire: the clever and motley crew of the starship “Ghost.” Together, this ragtag group will face threatening new villains, have thrilling adventures, and become heroes."

Star Wars Rebels will be with us in the Fall on Disney XD.

does it kind of scare anyone that the mouse now holds the properties of star wars, marvel, Pixar, and rumors have swirled for years that they want to buy DC as well.

I'm still on the fence with this, seems like a rushed job too get us fans back on board.
Would have preferred them to wrap the Clone Wars up nicely then move on to a different style of animation, seems too familiar.

Hope it works.

Not sure about this show. The least they could have done was add some Black people to the cast. Guess they got killed off during the purge too : P

You should be happy, they don't seem to have any white people either.

@Panoramacon Just seems like with Star Wars usually being so diverse they could at least add characters that more people can relate to.

But I hold my judgement until I actually see a few episodes.
So far it's looks kind of average at best.

The Pics with the whole crew has a K.O.T.O.R vibe to me.

@ItCameFromPlanetEarth It's funny, Young Justice had all of that...and it was still one of the best animations ever.

I felt it too, from the previous vid we got.

I think one of the best things this show has going for it is the cast of entirely new characters. We know the major events between 3 and 4, with the Jedi being exterminated, the Rebellion begins at some point, and then the events of A New Hope. But we don't know what's going to happen to any of these characters, which makes them way more interesting than any of the major prequel characters who headed The Clone Wars.

I just want someone to clarify if this crew being retconned as THE beginning of the Rebel Alliance, or just cogs in their grand scheme.

Funny that the THR report has been dead on so far. Freddie Prinze Jr, Taylor Gray, Steve Blum, and now Vanessa Marshall.

I'm guessing that the next video will be David Oyelowo as the Inquisitor.

I don't think they will retcon how the alliance was formed. I see these guys are a bunch of misfits that all band together and join the rebel alliance.

Who pilots the PHANTOM? Do they share it? Did I miss that info somewhere? Is there a mystery character yet to come?

@fanDomX It's funny that everyone says this looks Disney-ish when this looks exactly like what the Original Trilogy was like.

Marshall's a good choice. And it's fitting she's mentioned on this site--in addition to voicing a lot of familiar characters in recent years, her mother, Joan Van Ark, was the first actress to play the Jessica Drew version of Spider-Woman (in the character's 1979 cartoon series).
