When you think of Star Wars usually what comes to mind are lightsabers and The Force right? Well with the latest gaming title in the Star Wars universe, it seems that they are taking away some of the fantasy elements, in order to add some tough realistic action, sure to mirror that of the Riddick games. It is reported that the official title for the game is Star Wars 1313, and will not feature some of the classic force and lightsaber-wielding elements that can be seen in most titles based on the Star Wars universe. Check out the details below.
The third-person action romp is set on "Level 1313, a ruthless criminal underground deep below the surface of the planet of Coruscant," according to the company. Players will assume the role of a bounty hunter taking down targets and searching for the truth behind a criminal conspiracy. Lucas is throwing its full weight behind the game, relying on input from its various tech divisions, including LucasArts, ILM, Lucasfilm Animation, and Skywalker Sound.
Also, there is an awesome new still that seems to be associated with the upcoming game, check it out:
What do you fans think of the news of this upcoming game? Personally I feel it's a refreshing turn to some of the stuff that has been pushed out lately. While I feel that the recent games such as
LEGO Star Wars and
The Force Unleashed were great games, its nice to see them finally exploring that world outside of whats already been done over and over again. While we already have
Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, maybe this latest title will expand that universe a bit more, outside of Jango and/or Boba Fett.
Sound off with your thoughts in the usual place.
