VIDEO GAMES: STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT Set To Be Released In Summer 2015?
EA CFO Blake Jorgensen has talked more about their new partnership with Disney and LucasFilm, revealing that the recently announced Star Wars: Battlefront is set to be released alongside J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII. Will it tie-in to the movie?
In a stockholders conference call yesterday, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen revealed a possible release date for DICE's upcoming next-gen Star Wars: Battlefront reboot. "We have partnered with Walt Disney and LucasFilm to develop a whole new generation of Star Wars games for the console as well as for mobile and handheld devices. he first game that we're focused on is Battlefront. It's a traditional game that's done extremely well and this will most likely come out around the same time as the Star Wars movies start to come out, probably in the summer of '15." While it makes sense for them to release the game around the same time as Star Wars Episode VII, this makes you wonder whether the reboot will feature characters and locations from the new movies. What do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!
