Warner Bros. has officially announced that Tenet will arrive on 4K, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital on December 15, allowing fans who decided to err on the side of caution and skip the movie's theatrical release to experience the exciting sci-fi adventure in the comfort of their own home.
No extra features have been announced just yet, but we do know that subtitles will be included, which will definitely come in handy (take our word for it!).
Prior to Tenet's release, Warner Bros. and director Christopher Nolan seemed confident that the movie would do its part to "save cinema" by enticing the masses back to theatres - despite warnings that it wasn't the most responsible thing to do in the middle of a pandemic.
This strategy didn't quite pay off, but the film actually did pretty well all things considered (it took in over $300 million worldwide), even though it wasn't the success Nolan and the studio hoped for as it really needed to reach the $500M to break even.
The head of WarnerMedia's parent company recently admitted that things didn't quite go according to plan, but added that the studio "is still committed to [putting] some of the content that we think is most important into the theatrical channel."
