In a recent interview, Justin Lin - director of the last three Fast & The Furious films and the upcoming Terminator 5 - discusses the story plans with Ahnold for T5, and says that it's shaping to be a Terminator film he's always wanted. He also debunks the rumor that the whole original cast was returning for the film, and says that within 3-4 weeks he'll announce what his next film will be.

On discussing the storyline with Schwarzenegger:
"I've talked to Arnold and I feel like there's a take that I'm excited about, a Terminator movie there that I've always wanted to see and I still haven't seen."

On the rumor that the whole original cast will be back
"Everything has just been between me and Arnold, you know? Just us going out and trying to find the right partners. I have certain elements, but it's never been about, 'Hey, let's bring everybody back!' I just don't process that way."

On what interested him in the Terminator franchise:
"I always feel like what's great about the Terminator franchise is that there's time-travel and there are different timelines to play with. There are also a lot of gaps from what we love about all of the Terminator movies, so there's a lot of things we can do and play with... [Terminator] does have that capability, finding fresh ways of going back without destroying other [movies], because you can tell your own stories."

Terminator 5 currently has no release date.

Terminator without James Cameron as the director isn't Terminator. I really wish people would just let this franchise die already. I for one will not watch a 5th Terminator movie. Arnold's too old for it now anyway.

He sounds like he wants to make it between movies instead of continuing after 4. Then to say just trying to find the right partners he is jumping the timeline. Not sounding good so far.

So, there´ll be another actress to play Sarah Connor? What about Katherine Brewster, who we´ve been told was so important?
