Salvation Has No Soul

Salvation Has No Soul

Terminator Salvation stars Sam Worthington, not Christian Bale, but you could really say it's about both of them. Problem is, both characters are dull and boring. It seems they and every other character in the film have about as much charm as the machines they fight so desperately not to get killed by.

Although the action sequences were very good and sometimes, spot-on, it doesn't make up for the lack of story. The characters are always asking questions, but no answers are given. The intention of the film is to get the audience from point A to B with as much action distraction as possible. In between the action sequences, when people are spouting useless dialogue (filler), there is no attempt to expand the vision of the Terminator world. In the end, all you seem to get is a generic action flick. Like Wolverine, this is an attempt to cash in, offering nothing to the genre fans but cookie-cutter crap on a stick.

I think thats because they wrote out three films. If they tell you everything in the first movie, what would be the point. I think this move was just to start the war and wet are appetite.

The next one involves the t-1000, that should be a lot better than this one. They're off to a weak start with this trilogy, hopefully they make up for it. I really love this franchise.
