If you feel like there hasn't been much news about Disney's long-awaited sequel to
Tron, next year's
Tron: Legacy, then you would be right. According to actress
Olivia Wilde, that's because of a studio-imposed gag order on those who work on the film, something CBM fans have, unfortunately, grown accustomed to hearing about.
"There's such a cone of silence around Tron, but it'll be fun to watch. That was also an amazing honor, to be able to carry on a legacy like Tron. I don't think diehard fans will be disappointed. I think they will be very happy with what we did."
As for whether or not
Tron: Legacy will be completely driven by the effects, Wilde said:
"There's a real story. It's going to look cool, but that's not all [that the film is about]."
Tron: Legacy opens December 17, 2010!
