Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was among the many stars that MTV News spoke with during the 87th annual Academy Awards last weekend, and during the brief interview, the wrestler-turned-actor had discussed his role as Black Adam in Shazam! and how its 2019 release date might be moved up. "It may happen a little earlier than what has been predicted," revealed Johnson. "The script is coming in, it's great, and the support from the studio has just been great. It's just a great opportunity especially with Black Adam where you can take a guy who starts off as a bad guy turns into an anti-hero. We can make it vicious, a little bit of winking charm." "The Rock" was then asked if anyone has been cast as Captain Marvel yet. "I don't know yet," he told MTV News reporter Josh Horowitz, before joking, " but you're at the top of the list buddy." Anyhow, Shazam! is being scripted by Darren Lemke and is set to be released on April 5, 2019. What do you think?

I'm not even going to go into that other thread.

Just going to say Legion of Doom in JL part 2 followed by a Legion of Doom movie based on Forever Evil headed by Jesse Eisenberg as Luthor, The Rock as Black Adam, Mark Strong as Sinestro (bring him back) and others.

Well good. No great. It was so weird when they kept hinting at Shazam and announced it before everything else and had the Rock attached and then announced it was one of the last movies scheduled. It was all so strange. Let's get this show on the road. I'm so sick of the DCCU just being conjecture.

I really feel they should have Captain Marvel be played by a non-caucasian. I feel Terry Crews or Idris Elba would be great. Why does every comic book movie have to be exactly what was in the comics? That is just stupid. No one really reads those anyways. They are out-dated rags for a dying generation.
