Production on Shazam: Fury of the Gods kicked-off last week, and filming moved outdoors earlier today, allowing some very revealing spy photos to find their way online.
The shots were taken on the Union City, GA set, and give us a first look at star Zachary Levi suited-up in his new superhero costume. As you'll see if you click the link below, this outfit is quite a bit different to the one Shazam donned in the first movie. The most notable change is the lack of a cape, but the chest logo and overall design of the costume have also been updated.
It's also worth noting that Levi is looking considerably more jacked!
David F. Sandberg will return to the director's chair, and Henry Gayden and Chris Morgan are once again penning the script. Asher Angel and Jack Dylan Grazer will reprise their roles as Billy Batson and Freddy Freeman, respectively. The rest of the Shazam Family are also expected to return.
Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu will play villainous sisters Hespera and Kalypso, while Rachel Zegler is also on board as an unnamed third sister.
Shazam: Fury of the Gods is set to hit theaters on June 2, 2023.
