"What makes you different, is what makes you Spider-Man."

The brand new trailer for Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is now online, and if this doesn't Wall-Crawler fans hyped for his (well, their) animated adventure, nothing will.

The trailer kicks-off with a somewhat disillusioned-sounding Peter Parker, who discovers and teams up with a Spidey from another dimension, or "verse", Miles Morales. The pair are then joined by the likes of Spider-Gwen, Spider-Ham and Spider-Man Noir (yes, that's Nicholas Cage) as they all join forces to stop The Kingpin and a whole host of classic Spidey villains.

Check out the teaser below along with a new poster and let us know what you think. Into The Spider-Verse is set to hit theaters on December 14.

Love it, can't wait. Even if Venom is bad we still have another spidey movie to look forward to this year and then Far From Home a few months later. We truly are in the golden age...for CBMs at least

@BeyondtheFuture - It's the creative team - and mulaney as Peter Porker - that has me excited for this one.

Quite a year for spidey and film

@BeyondtheFuture -

Sony is trying to distract everyone from what's happening with Venom.

@Battabing - I mean I'm still going to go see Venom, I think at the very least it will be entertaining. Plus I'm pretty sure that trailer was always going to be attached to it and for that to happen it needed to release online first, right?

I like the light hearted feel and actually pulling from different universes instead of trying to cram all of them in the same universe from the beginning.

Sony Intern: "Sir...it seems the early reviews for Venom aren't too good. In fact, people on Twitter are destroying it."

Sony Exec: "How bad is it?"

Sony Intern: "Well Sir, people are comparing it to Catwoman, Ben Affleck's Daredevil and Fant4stic..."

Sony Exec: "Fant4stic?"

Sony Intern: "...yes..."

Sony Exec: "Jesus Christ...right...here's what we do...we'll release another trailer for 'Into the Spider-Verse'. That way all those trolls and Russian bots will be distracted and Venom will be ignored."

Sony Intern: "Sir, are you sure that will work?"

Sony Exec: "Yes I'm sure...and by the way...you're fired."

@UltimateCarnage - This trailer was so good, I completely forgot Venom even existed. It'll be in the Inhumans bin where things just never happened.

@UltimateCarnage - I just want to like, point out, that over the last few weeks a few of us on here have been pointing out how the movie felt dated

And how that's now been confirmed feels more gratifying than a check mark on twitter.

True. I mean Spider-Man is a small name property that I wonder how Sony will think he is at all profitable

@LEVITIKUZ - but following up Venom, the competition, and it being animated instead of live action?

Delightful sarcasm aside, I am curious to see how this plays out. It's definitely not a move I expected.

Running low on Jake Johnston's stoner shtick. I think he was way too over the top with it in Tag.

@regularmovieguy - tag had problems but the actors can't be blamed for it

Go watch digging for fire if you want to see Johnson do something different, he wrote it

@ftf530

I’ve been meaning to check that out. And I agree he shouldn’t be blamed for shitty writing. Tag wasn’t awful either it was just meh.

Is that movie on Netflix? The movie he wrote?

ftf530
ftf530 - 10/2/2018, 7:59 AM
@regularmovieguy - don't think it's anywhere free

Tag was completely carried by a good cast and a great premise, it's unfortunate that it wasn't given an extra re-write or two before shooting, it could have been something really special and memorable.

I'm so damn ready for this movie. Been amazing year for Spider-Man content (not you, Venom)

Was really hoping Big Hero 6 was the start of an animated CBM explosion but this might actually be the one to do it. Fingers crossed
