Did we get a glimpse of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock in the first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home? That's the theory currently doing the rounds online.
The trailer dropped earlier tonight after months of anticipation, giving us a first look at Alfred Molina as the returning Doctor Octopus while seemingly teasing several other villains, including Green Goblin, The Sandman, Electro and The Lizard. However, it's a couple of shots from the scene with Peter Parker being grilled in the police station we're focusing on here.
As you can see, a mysterious figure in a shirt and tie can be seen standing over Parker with some documents in his hand, and then again outside the room with his arms folded. This could just be a random cop, of course, but that second shot does kind of look like The Man Without Fear in his civilian guise.
It's a bit of a reach, for sure, but with persistent rumors that Cox is set to reprise his role from the now cancelled Netflix series, you just never know!
What do you guys think? Is this Matt Murdock coming to Peter's aid to offer his services as an attorney, or are people reading way too much into these shots? Have another look at the trailer below, and drop us a comment in the usual place.
