With production on Spider-Man: Homecoming expected to kick off sometime next week in Atlanta, Marvel Studios has been quite busy these past few days rounding out the cast, having already added Donald Glover (The Martian) earlier this week, and now, they're closing in on two more very solid pieces.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Logan Marshall-Green is currently in talks to join the Jon Watts-directed film as a secondary villain and Deadline is reporting that Martin Starr has signed on for an undisclosed role. Further details on their roles were unavailable, but if recent rumors are to be believed, there's a decent chance one of them is playing the Tinkerer.

The duo joins a cast headlined by Tom Holland as your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man with an impressive supporting cast featuring Academy Award-winner Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Michael Keaton as the film's lead villain, Zendaya Coleman as Michelle, Tony Revolori as Manuel, Laura Harrier, Michael Barbieri, and Kenneth Choi.

Marshall-Green is best known for his intense roles in Ridley Scott's Prometheus, the M. Night Shyamalan-produced Devil, and Karyn Kusama's well-received thriller The Invitation. Starr on the other hand is best known for his hilarious role as Bertram Gilfoyle on HBO's hit series Silicon Valley and has also starred in several hit comedies, including Knocked Up, This Is The End, and Superbad. He's also the latest Marvel alum to get recast, having previous starred as an unnamed Amadeus Cho in The Incredible Hulk., and this move reunites Starr with his former Freaks & Geeks co-star John Francis Daley, who penned the script alongside Jonathan M. Goldstein

So, what do you guys think? Who do you think Marshall-Green and Starr are playing? Is one of them the Tinkerer? Or could we see one of them suit up as one of Spidey's other great rogues? Sound off with your thoughts below!

@TheManFromMars - He was supposedly Amadeus Cho right? That would've been awful.

@SnapperCarr - Only in the novelization he was credited as such.

The novelization of Iron Man 2 identified Tony's new element as Vibranium, so I don't take anything from the novelizations as canon.

@TheManFromMars - Maybe his character grew up to be Peter's science teacher or some shit?
