I'm not sure about you guys, but when I heard that they were planning reshoots for The Amazing Spider-Man, I wasn't expecting this many new scenes to be revealed! Today, we see Captain Stacy (played by Denis Leary) discovering what seems to be a webbed up criminal left for the NYPD. Many didn't appreciate the lack of humor in Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire's interpretation of Spider-Man, but if that wedgie is anything to go by, it looks like there will be plenty of that on offer here! Check out the latest batch of set photos below and be sure to head on over to Newscom for more.

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors/The Lizard
Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben
Sally Fields as Aunt May
Denis Leary as George Stacy

RELEASE DATE: July 3rd, 2012.

Will that humor carry throughout the film or is it an isolated incident though. I guess time will tell.

@Ranger14 from what I've heard there will be a lot of comedy from Spidey, I'm super pumped.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 He's not in this one coz they wanted it to be more focused on high school but will probably come in during the sequel.

Every new piece of info for this just makes me even more pumped.

@alucard365: Ummmm....He is a police Captain. Hints the title "Captain Stacy". He is Gwen Stacy's father. Gwen Stacy is one of Peter Parker's love interest in the comics and the main love interest in the upcoming film. She was also in Spider-Man 3.

Haha!! Now that's something Spidey would do. I hope that his wicked sense of humor carries on thru the movie.

@Cataract - Agree. There's nothing horrible about the costume. I mean, sure it differs from the original costume a lot, but it's nothing THAT bad. They'll probably change it in the sequel.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!

@SuspenseSmith I understand your desire to be in a positive atmosphere, but you can't force a positive environment. Also; it does your credibility a disservice to promote hypocrisy in the pursuit of positivity. Why do people with negatives views have to be told to wait to see the movie? No one tells you to wait when you're like "I CAME", "This is GOING TO BE awesome" and "FILM OF THE YEAR!".

If the gusher can make premature claims based on his opinions, then the hater can too.

@prettyunclear Dude, what are you even talking about?

Worried about the practical fx. SPidey might lose some of his flexibility, "spider-like" swinging (which i know arent's spider like but y'all catch my drift, i hope)

and, yeah, the suit sucks...

First of all, its fan made. Second, if you knew much about Spider-Man, you would know that it is NOT a copy of the Incredible Hulk movie poster.

It's from Spider-Man No More. Look it up.
