Chris Cooper To Play Norman Osborn In THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

Although the film has already started shooting, a last minute cast addition has just come in for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The new report says that Actor Chris Cooper will be playing Norman Osborn in the upcoming movie.

While there has been some speculation on who will be playing Norman Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, nothing was ever set in stone. That all changes today as The Hollywood Reporter has reported that actor Chris Cooper will be playing the Oscorp CEO. Variety first reported he joined the cast, but was unsure of what character he was playing.

In the comics, Norman famously becomes the Green Goblin. However, there are no plot details at this time to suggest that he will make an appearance in the film as the Goblin. Cooper joins the already jam packed cast that features returning stars Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, and Sally Field as Aunt May. Also rounding out the cast are new comers Jamie Foxx as Electro, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, and Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane. The film is set to hit theaters on May 2, 2014.

Okay, acting wise it's a great choice, but physically, if they end up making him the Green Goblin later on, I don't think he can do it. Which makes me believe even more that when we see Gobby, it'll be Ultimate "monster" version in CGI.

Maybe Webb is forming his version of the Sinister Six? The Lizard's still around. Now you have Electro, Rhino and Goblin. Webb could change things up a bit and make Harry be the new Eddie Brock and become Venom. We still don't know who Felicity Jones is playing and we also don't know what's going to become of Irrfan Khan's Rajit Ratha. I'm liking all the possibilities though.

Disappointed, and trying not to regress into childhood, and failing.

I think one actor should Play Norman Obsborn and another should play Green Goblin! Since they are drastically different extremes of the same character
