Yesterday, we learned that the wall-crawler’s iconic Spider-Sense would be referred to as the “Peter Tingle” in Spider-Man: Far From Home. And while we didn’t know how this moment would play out in the movie, it managed to cause a bit of a stir among comic book fans.
Fortunately, some amusing new footage from the upcoming Marvel film reveals the unexpected origin of the "Peter Tingle."
As seen in the TV spot below, Aunt May first coins the term during a funny exchange that occurs after the young hero fails to dodge a healthy snack that was thrown his way. The footage seems to confirm that the mildly controversial name for Spider-Man’s power is meant to be nothing more than a small joke that pokes some fun at one of the web-head’s greatest abilities.
Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into theaters on July 2nd and features a talented cast that includes stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jake Gyllenhaal, Marisa Tomei, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, and Jacob Batalon.
