SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING: Michael Mando Confirms His Villainous Role As [SPOILER]

A cast list recently shed some light on who Better Call Saul star Michael Mando is playing in Spider-Man: Homecoming but it appears as if there may be more to that character than we initially thought...

A cast list for Spider-Man: Homecoming recently revealed that Michael Mando has been cast as Mac Gargan in the reboot but could there be more to the villain than meets the eye? As of right now, we have literally no idea what role he'll have in the movie but comic book fans will know that he's a private eye in the source material who is hired by J. Jonah Jameson to look into Spidey's secret identity.

However, a new Instagram post from the actor points to him actually suiting up as the Scorpion in the movie, something that hasn't been included in the trailers which would definitely be a big surprise. Surely, though, this is a villain deserving of taking centre stage throughout an entire Spidey story?

Well, if recent rumours are to be believed, we'll see Scorpion make his presence felt in Silver & Black, the upcoming spinoff movie revolving around Silver Sable and Black Cat. Introducing him briefly here would make sense as it would establish him as part of Spider-Man's world before he goes on to battle those two. We'll have to wait and see but we now have another reason to be excited for this one!

@ALostCause - So you didnt learn? no matter what actor is in MCU as villain, there was a lot of good solid actors and they ended as wasted shitty generic villains.

@Omega - Most of those people were good actors, a recognizable face to put on the posters, but this guy is a good villain actor that few people know.

Even if he is under-developed, he will own his space on screen. I mean, unless they just have him act serious and never really do anything interesting, like those famous actors.

but in my gut I say they would've cast someone else if that is what they were going with.

will he appear in Sliver and Black ? that would collide with Pascal statement.

"First, there is Spider-Man happily in the place where he’s supposed to be which is in the Marvel Universe," replied Pascal. "I think everything comes from that. This is the signpost, the tentpole, the signature and… the other movies that Sony’s going to make, in their relationship to this [MCU] Spider-Man, take place in this [separate Sony] world. Although you’re not going to see them in the Marvel Universe, it’s in the same reality.”

@jerryblake - 100% this will be the Scorpion of Sliver and Black as Sony are lazy and money grabbers. They want ppl not in the know to think these film are part of the MCU to gain that money. That's why we keep getting these confusing articles and interviews with Amy. Marvel Studios say no they aren't, Sony say welll?!?!? maybe going see the films to find out ;).

@jerryblake - Feige agreed with her statement. I think itll be similar to the relationship between the movies and TV shows, with one way references and the MCU proper ignoring the Sony-verse
