We know Sony's upcoming animated Spider-Man movie will focus on Miles Morales, but our first bit of casting news actually relates to the character's father, Jefferson Davis. Click on for what we know...
It was recently confirmed that Sony's animated Spider-Man flick would feature Miles Morales in the Webhead's suit, and now we might just have our first inkling of the cast the studio is lining up, beginning with Morales' father.
During the latest episode of Meet The Movie Press, co-host Jeff Sneider said he heard rapper/actor Ice-Cube was being eyed for the role, though he didn't offer any further information.
In the comics, Jefferson Davis is a former NYPD officer with a shady past involving his criminal brother, Aaron, which leads to a complicated relationship with his son. Of course, the movie may take a completely different approach to the character.
Written by Phil Lord and executive produced by Lord and Chris Miller, the animated Spider-Man movie is due to open December 21, 2018.
