MORBIUS Star Jared Leto Talks SINISTER SIX Possibilities And Which Spider-Man He'd Like To Face (Exclusive)

Talking to us about the upcoming release of Morbius, star Jared Leto opens up about the Living Vampire's possible future with the Sinister Six and which of the three Spider-Men he'd like to face on screen.

Over the weekend, it was confirmed that Morbius takes place in the same world as Venom. Moving forward, we know Sony Pictures is developing everything from Kraven the Hunter to Madame Web and Spider-Woman, and many fans are anxious to learn when Spider-Man will swing into this world.

Following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, it appears Tom Holland's web-slinger will remain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, he could still play a Variant, while the door has to be open to us seeing more of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's respective takes on Peter Parker.

With that in mind, we asked Morbius star Jared Leto which of the Spider-Men he'd like to battle as the Living Vampire. His answer was short and sweet as he stated, "Man, I’ll take them all on!"

We then put it to Leto that with Venom, Morbius, and The Vulture all part of the same world now (with Kraven the Hunter and Chameleon on the way), Sony could be building to a Sinister Six project. So, how does he see the Living Vampire fitting into that team of Spider-Man villains? "I think he would fit perfectly," the Oscar-winner says in the video above. "We’ll see what they have in store, but that’s the exciting thing about being part of this world. You never know what’s going to happen."

Sony had plans for a Sinister Six movie back when The Amazing Spider-Man franchise was still active, with Drew Goddard attached for a time. It didn't pan out, but it wouldn't be at all surprising for the studio to revisit the concept in the "Venomverse," especially with so many bad guys and no Spidey to stop them. Of course, Madame Web might just end up having something to say about that!

Check back here soon for more from Leto and to read our review of the Marvel Comics adaptation.

Morbius will be released in cinemas on March 31.

As a Spider-Man fan I'm very glad Sony hasn't sold the rights back to Disney/Marvel or we would never see these movies coming out Disney / Marvel.

Spider-Man Universe characters would have disappeared just like all the X-Men movies. I enjoyed both Venom movies can't wait for the third.

I actually miss the 2 or 3 X-Men movies good or bad every year from Fox.

Let's be honest has much as I like the Marvel/Disney movies one thing they're not good at is being comic book accurate.

@DoubleD - I feel similarly in that I enjoyed the variety in the comic movies we were getting. But that doesn't excuse the poor quality of the Sony spider movies or the later xmen movies.

@TheMapleSyrup - Hardcore Hulk fan read must the comics including World War Hulk series and Immortal Hulk thought they were great.

I stopped waiting for a comic book accurate Hulk from Disney/Marvel. I learned to appreciate what they give me. Same with Sony something is better than nothing.

Disney/Marvel hasn't made a comic book accurate movie or show in 14 years. WB/DC is no different.

@TheMapleSyrup - She-Hulk looks great but this the Hulk I get and owns a bar. I will love it because it's better than being dead like Iron-Man, Captain America, Thano's, Black Widow, Loki, and Quick Silver.

@DoubleD - well nothing is 100% comic accurate. We're talking about condensing 70+years of literature into a couple of movies. But as to your other point I'm glad you have fun with all cbm but rewarding studios for making crap only gives them the green light to make more crap like how on earth did that garbage venom movie honestly get a sequel?
DoubleD
DoubleD - 3/28/2022, 9:54 PM
@TocharianMonk - "but rewarding studios for making crap"

Small number of Fans boycotting movies is 100% useless and accomplishes nothing and not going to change a studios mind. Ask the Zack Snyder fans.

WB/DC still showed Zack Snyder the door and FANS are still waiting for; Man of Steel 2, Justice League 2 and restore the Snyderverse.

@DoubleD - the mcu has captured the spirit of comics way better than any other cb frsnchise.

You mean to tell ke venom was comic accurate? Since when was venom and symbiote "the odd couple"?

I feel bad for Jared Leto. Like i genuinely feel the man is a good actor. Absolutely love Requiem for a dream. But damn he has had bad luck picking projects in the CBM department. Maybe Morbius will be a masterpiece. Ill probably never know because I dont think ill ever watch it

The more I read about this Venom/Morbius universe, the more I want Spider-Man to just be a new Spider-Man. We don't need the Peter Parker side of his story, if it's just encountering Spider-Man from the villains' perspectives. Just get Josh Keaton as the voice so we know it ain't Tom Holland
