I'm a HUGE Spider-Man fan,so when I found out that Spider-Man will FINALLY be headed to the Marvel Cinematic Universe,I was filled with excitement, and that's an understatement! So now that that's out of the way I'll show you guys what I think Marvel and Sony should with Spider-man for any future Spider-man solo film and any future Avengers movie. So sit back, grap some popcorn, and enjoy!Let's start off with Spidey's debut in 2016's Captain America:Civil War. Keep in mind that I think Spidey shouldn't have a cameo in the film, but instead,he should be one of the supporting characters.

Captain America:Civil War

After Cap's rebellion against the government's "Superhuman Registration Act",Maria Hill groups up with Tony to capture all Anti-Registration heroes,as well as any other heroes that haven't decided a side(Spider-Man).Tony finds a name on  Hill's computer that reads:Spider-Man:Peter Parker, age 16.This new vigilante's age interests Stark,so he decides to find this new hero first.

We are then introduced to Spidey(played by Logan Lerman) who is web-swinging his way to school after he stops a bank robbery when Iron Man stops him and gives him some new insight on the Registration Act,and offers him a brand new suit(Iron Spider suit) if he agrees to join him.

Spidey, while unsure about his descision, agrees to join Stark.Peter has always looked up to Stark for his brilliance ,as well as Captain America for his heroic patriotism,so he wasn't sure who join, but he decides to ultimately join Stark since he doesn't want the government coming after him as well as Aunt May,Mary Jane,Gwen,or Harry.Tony asks Spidey to unmask himself to see who is behind the mask.Peter relunctantly takes his mask off and is shocked to see how young he is.Later,Tony gives him the Iron Spider suit, and after our favorite heroes pick their side, the Civil War begins!

Later in the film,Iron Man,Ant-Man,Hawkeye,and Spidey team up to capture some Anti-Registration heroes, including Captain America.Spidey soon is pitted against Rogers and, relunctantly fights him.Spidey had the upper hand until an explosion is heard and Cap escapes to help out his team(Anti-Registration).During the fight,Cap told Spidey that he knew he wanted to switch sides, and Peter agrees in his head.Throughout the first half of the movie,Spidey battles alongside the Pro-Registration heroes against the Anti-Registration rebels, and is mostly the comic relief of the movie. But after the film's turning point when one of the unknown Anti-Registration heroes is killed,Spider-man is certain that he wants out of the Pro-Registration side and he fights Iron Man and flees from Avengers Tower.

He joins Cap's side and the film continues into the conflict until the last act of the film, when Cap surrenders to the government and is shot dead by Crossbones.Spidey mourns the death of one of his favorite role models.Peter apologizes to Stark and the Avengers are officialy disassembled.

Marvel's Spider-Man

The first solo outing deals with the aftermath of Captain America:Civil War and how Peter tries to balance his life between fighting crime as Spider-Man,working for the Daily Bugle, and his school life at Midtown High along with trying to ask out Mary Jane,a girl introduced to Peter thanks to Aunt May.In the midst of all this, crime boss Wilson Fisk,A.K.A. "The Kingpin" is furious that Spidey is stopping his crimes and decides to enlist his Enforcers to kill him.On his way to school,Spidey is nearly shot by one of the Enforcers so he quickly puts a stop to all 3 of them.

Peter is late to school, and when he gets to his home period his teacher has a talk with him about his grades slipping.Later after school,Peter is upset that his grade have been slipping dramatically ever since he became Spider-Man.He remembers the day that spider bit him,and when his powers had begun to show up.But he also remembers his late Uncle Ben and his speech that motivated Peter to become Spider-Man in the fisrt place:"With Great Power.comes Great Responsibility".Peter decides to continue being Spider-man for Aunt May,Mary Jane,Harry,Gwen,Tony Stark, and recently lost loved ones:Uncle Ben and Steve Rogers.

The next scene is Spidey falling from the Chrysler Building and web-swinging his way to a bank robbery. He stops some robbers and comes across their boss:Herman Schultz:"The Shocker" who is dressed up in a suit that can fire sonic waves.Spidey quickly stops him,and takes some pics for the Daily Bugle.

Kingpin finds out about the Enforcers' arrest and enlists the help of Quentin Beck,a special effects producer who was fired for almost causing an explosion in a public area,he was apprehended by Spidey, causing Quentin's hatred for Spider-Man.Quentin is given a special suit that grants him repulsor blasters (similar to Iron Man's),super strength, speed, endurance and also grants him the ability to create realistic illusions.Meanwhile at Midtown High,Peter finally builds up the courage to ask out Mary Jane to the movies. She accepts happily, sparking a brand new relationship.

After school,Peter suits up as Spidey to snap some pics and to stop some crime.Atop a rooftop,Mysterio sees Spidey and looks for any type of weaknesses.Later at Aunt May's house,Aunt May is happy for Peter since he's having a date with MJ for the first time, and says that Uncle Ben would've been proud.Peter and May hug,and MJ arrives.

The two go to the movies near Times Square, and during the movie,Peter's Spidey-Sense is going insane.Peter leaves MJ in the movies and suits up to see what all the commotion is about.Screaming is heard from a nearby street and gas emerges from the middle of the street.Mysterio emerges and fights Spider-Man.His illusions trick Spidey many times and he is defeated .

Peter escapes and quickly realizes that he isn't going to beat ALL of his enemies and he starts strategizing a way to stop Mysterio the next time they fight, but he quickly forgets that he ditched MJ at the movies. He gets a call from her,and says she wasn't mad at him, just a little disappointed.Peter feels bad and offers a second date, this time to the school's homecoming dance;she accepts.

The next day at school,Peter arrives to class early this time, and sits down in his desk.Instead of thinking about girls like normal teens do,he thinks about how he plans to stop Mysterio. After school, Mysterio shows up atop the Brooklyn Bridge and challenges Spidey on-air.Peter suits up and swings to the top of Brooklyn Bridge.coming face-to-face with Mysterio.

Mysterio then uses his illusions and ends up blasting sevreal empty cars, one of them headed toward MJ,whm was nearby the fight, and Spidey saves her. They look at each other for a sceond, and MJ smiles. Then,Spidey swings back to face Mysterio and realizes that one day he will have to tell MJ that he is Spider-Man.

The fight continues and Spidey gets to web up his gauntlets, stopping his repulsors and his illusions, and he hits Mysterio in his fish bowl, quickly breaking it.The crowd cheers, and Spidey swings away, catching MJ's attention.Iron Man sees Spidey and congratulates him for defeating Mysterio.Later that night, the Homecoming dance at Midtown High starts, and Peter meets with MJ.They dance happily, and Peter decides to kiss her. They kiss, and the movie ends. The Post-Credits scene of the movie is revealed:Kingpin meets up with Harry Osborn's father Norman Osborn:head of OsCorp Industries,Kingpin enlists the help of Osborn to create a new opponent for Spider-man:Project VENOM!

Well guys I guess that's it for Part 1 of my editorial,I hope you like it!(Sorry that it was a bit long though)Anyways I will make a Part 2 to this hopefully very soon!It will include Avengers:Infinity War Parts 1 and 2,as well Marvel's Spider-Man 2Thanks for reading guys!

Take it from me - never apologize for making an article "too long". There's no such thing. If you write something engaging and interesting, folks will read it. Yep, even the ones on CBM.com haha.

Still, I'd suggest breaking this up into paragraphs rather than 2 separate walls of text. It's just easier to read that way and funny enough, it won't seem as long. Because the way it is now, people will look at it and refuse to read it, no matter how good it actually is. Just a few helpful hints! =)

Fun stuff! Your Spider-Man movie has a very "Spectacular Spider-Man" feel. If that was intentional--I dig it. I think you did a nice job at capturing the high school vibe that the movie will take, and it sounds like Marvel wants it to go in that direction.

I want to like Mysterio as the Villain, but since I've never really liked old Fishbowl, so I'm inclined to say no (I'm still rooting for Hydro-Man, Kraven, or Scorpion/Scorpia).

I love the Venom setup, but I don't really feel Kingpin taking center stage--he'll already be fighting off Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. That's plenty of trouble for Fist to be dealing with. I'd just hit it hard with Norman, or maybe even go with Tombstone (like in Spectacular Spiderman. Man, that was a kickass show).

As for the role you have in Civil War, I love the idea, but I honestly can't see him playing such a large role. There is just way too much happening in that movie already between Cap, Iron Man, Black Panther, Baron Zemo, Winter Soldier, Falcon, Crossbones....get my drift? I'm guessing Hawkeye, Black Widow, and War Machine will come along too, as well as Ant-Man ( and Wasp, I hope). Adding Spidey in a major role will just exacerbate things.

I have my Civil War hopes...but I'll save that for an article of my own down the line, haha.

I'm looking forward to Part 2!

Thanks!Yes I was definitely adding a "spectacular spiderman " vibe to it.Its such a great show!I can agree with you on Kingpins role now that I think about it.as for civil war I don't think marvel will give him a major role but if he did I would be so happy!!!!

Pretty good article. I just hope Black Panther has more focus as supporting character though. If hes already spidey before Civil War then we should probably be getting some Spidey world building via the netflix shows and AOS.

Too much of a role in Civil War. He should barely have anything.

Like your other ideas though.
