The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Oh dear, I REALLY don't like these stills, they look.... well, crap. They are dull, flat, spider man looks like a leaping fool in a stupid costume.... honestly, the other Spiderman costume looked FAR better, this looks ugly, wrinkled and...well, crap! Not impressed by these, the trailer was good, but I never trust trailers, the truth will be in watching the actual film, until then, I have no comment on whether it will be good or not...

You people do realise these are promotion stills for the Sony NEX series camera ? They are not official stills from the film. Stop being so quick to judge people and actually read the article, before doing so.

Costume is a terrible design.

Lighting and motion in the film may hide some problems but it doesn't take away that it sucks from the start.

@bane not true, it dosent matter how many times a person saw a spiderman movie. It's spiderman he is the most iconic superhero in the world, he beats out every single avengers in popularity + no marvel studio film ever grossed more overall than spiderman why? Because like I said its spiderman, everyone will watch it regardless of how many times people have seen a spiderman movie( and it's a reboot so a curiosity factor comes Into play). Besides the avengers does not look as original as you think, how many times have you seen earth invaded by aliens? Avengers could beat spiderman at the box office but don't be surprised if spiderman beats the avengers box office wise or movie wise.

I think the outfit looks awesome with the shoes and evrything, I Know is change hard, but we gotta evolve people com'mon!, plus I didn't like the glued on webbing to the old Sam Raimi costume anyway ha..

As far as everything else in these pics.. well, we'll just leave that to the kids.

The one that monkeyking shopped, now that's hilarious! LOL!

Still hate the costume, particularly the stripes on the side of his legs. Make the costume looks like cheap jumpsuit.

But webshooters! Yay! Can't wait to see this movie!
