Peter Parker never did cross paths with Eddie Brock in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but [SPOILER] the movie's mid-credits scene did feature the Daily Bugle reporter leaving a piece of Venom behind in the MCU. Now, fans are hopeful that Spidey will don his black suit from the comic books, but what exactly will that end up looking like?
One of the concept artists who worked on the threequel, Thomas du Crest, has shared his (unofficial) take on Holland's black-suit Spider-Man, and the results are undeniably exciting.
Black is definitely Tom Holland's colour, and the alien costume seems to suit this iteration of Spider-Man. The classic logo on his chest is welcomed, as are other little touches like the eyes and "web-shooters." Overall, it looks like a piece of imagery pulled straight from the comic books, and that's definitely the direction Marvel Studios should head in if they choose to use this outfit.
However, we'd probably ditch the white veins running across the web-slinger's body; while they work on Venom to give him some definition due to that lack of spider logo on his chest, they just feel superfluous here...and make Spidey look a little too 'roided out for our liking!
This is still a great indication of what Symbiote Spider-Man could look like in the MCU, and the hope among fans is that Tom Hardy will either play a Variant of Eddie or Mac Gargan will don the alien suit after crossing paths with Peter as the Scorpion. Spidey's future beyond No Way Home is undeniably intriguing, but only time will tell whether the alien costume will be part of it...
