Something "fantastic" is coming to
Marvel's Spider-Man.
Insomniac Games' critically acclaimed action-adventure starring your friendly neighborhood web-slinger has been a smash hit on PlayStation 4. Released in September,
Marvel's Spider-Man has
sold through over nine million copies as of November 25, 2018. The 2018 Game of the nominee has seen three episodic expansions drops as part of
The City That Never Sleeps DLC bundle, but it doesn't appear as if the fun is over quite yet.
Marvel's Fantastic Four Week kickoff livestream featured all sorts of exciting news related to Marvel's First Family, but one of the most intriguing bits came at the very end when Marvel's Ryan Penagos teased
"Something 'fantastic' is coming to Marvel's Spider-Man real soon."
Unfortunately, that's all we were left with as Marvel's vice president and creative executive of Marvel New Media could not share any details.
"I can’t tell you anything more right now because Tim will probably hurt me,” Penagos continued.
“But you’ll want to keep an eye out for this. Trust me, it’s going to be amazing and fantastic.”
Exactly what this content might be is anyone's guess, but speculation points to a new suit for Spidey. Spider-Man has a few outfits gifted to him by the
Fantastic Four, including the hilarious
Bombastic Bagman, a spare Fantastic Four costume that Peter wore when Reed Richards was analyzing his black symbiote suit. The costume was complete with a brown paper bag that Peter Parker used as a mask to cover his face. What's more, Johnny Storm stuck a "Kick Me" sign to his back.
Another possible costume is the
black-and-white Future Foundation suit.
Sony Interactive Entertainment, Insomniac Games, and Marvel team up to create a brand-new, authentic Spider-Man adventure exclusively for PlayStation 4. Take control of an experienced Peter Parker who is more masterful at fighting crime.
What sort of
Fantastic Four related content do you think is coming to
Marvel's Spider-Man?
