Since the announcement of the Spider-Man reboot, there's been many questions on what's in store for everyone's favorite wall crawler in the upcoming reboot. At the time, the biggest question was who would play the lead character but, after a tedious casting process, we've learned that 27 year-old actor Andrew Garfield would take the role.

This was in turn met with an uproar of questions regarding other aspects of the film such as who would be the love interest and who would be the villain, and most importantly, who would play them.

Since then we've learned the following:

1. The film will be directed by Marc Webb

2. The film will be set in high school.

3. The film is will likely be based on the ultimate universe with 616 influence.

4. The film's villain is likely to be the Lizard with Christoph Waltz originally rumored for the role.

5. Anton Yechin, R. Lee Ermey, and Josh Brolin are rumored to be the frontrunners to play Harry Osborn, J. Jonah Jameson, and Norman Osborn respectively.

6. Mary-Jane will not be the love interest in the film but she will be in the film and have a more pivotal role in future installments.

7. The love interest in the film will be Gwen Stacy will be the love interest.

8. Currently, Emma Stone has been offered the role of Mary-Jane and a sort list of actresses including Mia Wasikowska and Dominique McElligott are in contention to play Gwen Stacy in the film.

9. Lastly, Phillip Seymour Hoffman is rumored to be th frontrunner for the role of Eddie Brock in the upcoming film though its likely he's in contention for the role of Eddie Brock, Sr. whose son becomes the villain, Venom.

Since its announcement in January, there have been few development on the impending reboot but the one's we've gotton were big and have sparked many talks among fans and has had a split respnse: positve, negative, and mixed.

I for one think this shaping up to be a great film and I can't wait to see what else is in store for this film and the franchise.
