A collective sigh was heard among Marvel fans worldwide earlier as WandaVision was finally confirmed to premiere in January, and not December. However, what's more important today is remembering the Marvel legend that was Stan "The Man" Lee.
Two years ago, the world lost one of its most influential and well-loved creators. From Spider-Man to The Incredible Hulk, as well the bulk of the Marvel Universe, Lee has created numerous characters and stories that have touched the hearts and sparked the minds of people of all ages.
Stan's fans have been honouring his memory by reading his stories and viewing old cameos. Some Marvel Cinematic Universe creatives have also paid their respects via social media, with James Gunn sharing a particularly touching story.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 & 2 and soon to be The Suicide Squad & Peacemaker director worked with Stan Lee on more than one occasion, and he shared one of his treasured memories of the legendary Generalissimo on Instagram.
Stan Lee enthusiasts might also enjoy listening to our exclusive interview with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse director Peter Ramsey. He describes how Stan was blind when recording his final cameos, so we have included it below. Be sure to share your sentiments and favorite memories of him in the comments!
The Suicide Squad has a tentative release date of August 6, 2021.
