As expected, The Suicide Squad Killed off a lot of characters, with most of 'em wiped out within the first 10 minutes of the movie. Shortly after arriving on the Corto Maltese beach, Weasel, Blackguard, Javelin, Boomerang, Mongal, T.D.K., and Savant were cut down in various gruesome (and, admittedly, kind of hilarious) ways.
The mid-credits scene revealed that Weasel survived, but director James Gunn has now strongly hinted that another presumed-dead member of Task Force X might have crawled (well, rolled) away from the carnage.
During last night's watch party, Gunn pointed out that while T.D.K., aka The Detachable Kid, was in critical condition after having his arms riddled with bullets, he didn't actually die on-camera. "Important to note if you look at the life signals in the Comms hub TDK isn't dead," Gunn Tweeted, to which actor Nathan Fillion responded: "I noticed that very loudly when I saw this in the theater. Apologies again, for the disturbance."
Does this mean we could see T.D.K. again? Well, Gunn was later asked how many of The Suicide Squad characters will appear in the Peacemaker HBO Max series, and confirmed that John Cena's vigilante will be joined by "Emilia Harcourt, John Economos, and, well, heck maybe one more."
Could this be T.D.K.? Peacemaker had no interactions with him in the movie, so someone like Amanda Waller, Bloodsport or Ratcatcher II would make more sense. Still, a cameo from Fillion would be welcomed.
