Dwayne Johnson and John Cena's careers have run parallel in many ways. Both men found huge levels of success in WWE before making the leap to Hollywood, and they've each now starred in Fast & Furious movies and DC blockbusters (The Suicide Squad and Black Adam).
Johnson is, of course, a megastar, while Cena's star is very much on the rise. After they picked up victories against each other at WrestleMania, many wrestling and movie fans would love to see a rematch on the big screen, regardless of whether that's between Luke Hobbs and Jakob Toretto or Black Adam and Peacemaker (we're thinking the latter fight would be over pretty quickly).
Talking to ComicBook.com about The Suicide Squad, Cena shared his thoughts on a possible showdown between the two pro wrestlers turned actors in the not too distant future.
"You know me. Ready, willing, and able," Cena said. "And answering the phone whenever it rings. I'm good. I think that the excitement is starting to build with fans, whether you talk about the conversation of Fast, or you talk about now the DC Universe. I don't want to say we're on a crash course and it's inevitable. I want to, because I'm a fan. But we'll see. We'll see what happens. Tell me what he says."
Clearly, it's a "wait and see" type deal, but this would be a lot of fun. Ultimately, the ball will be in Johnson's court as he's the bigger star and has a little more freedom in Hollywood to pick and choose the projects he wants to attach his name to. We'd definitely like to see this happen, though, so stay tuned!
