Last night, the exciting news that Warner Bros.' upcoming The Flash movie would introduce Supergirl to the DC Films Universe hit, with up-and-coming Latina actress Sasha Calle set to step into the role of Kara Zor-El.

It's probably going to be a while before we get to see the Calle suited-up as the Girl of Steel, but Boss Logic has put together some impressive fan-art which gives us some idea how the Young and the Restless star might look when she takes flight as the DC Comics heroine.

Many are wondering if she'll keep her dark hair, or sport the signature golden locks of her comic book counterpart. Which would you guys rather see?

Director Andy Muschietti shared an Instagram video of him telling Calle she'd landed the role shortly after the news broke, and revealed that he'd auditioned hundreds of actresses from all across The US, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia before finding "an actress who was destined to play this role."

It remains to be seen if Supergirl is introduced as the established DCEU "Earth" version of the character, or if she'll come from one of the alternate realities the movie is expected to pull from.

Calle joins Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Billy Crudup as Henry Allen, and Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton as their respective takes on Batman. The Flash is scheduled to begin shooting soon, and is currently set to race into theaters on November 4, 2022.

The Super Sarong is an interesting alternative to the cape, though part of me kind of wants to see what it would look like with both.

@Spock0Clock - I think it's a nice take on the design. Gives her design a new flavor compared to superman. Wish they remembered the dceu s logo.

@Waddles - right? I never thought of Supergirl as a brunette either, but it makes more sense than blonde. I dig it.

that looks really lazy and amateurish. like most of bosslogics output.

@rebellion - The torso is twisted. It surprises me with all the success and exposure that he's had over the years that his concepts still often look anatomically off with unrealistic lighting/3d rendering.

@HubbleFunk - Sometimes when it comes to the business of art and design, the people who pay for your work just want it to get done. His work may not be the best but he churns it out pretty fast.

Yes, when it comes to exposure and getting jobs, it really is about quantity over quality.

@HubbleFunk - to be fair, Rob Liefeld made an entire career out of it anatomically wrong, totally unrealistic art.

Fully expecting Supergirl to be done justice, unlike Superman. The DCEU is starting to feel more like "what could have been" than anything.

Didn't like the first Suicide Squad? We'll here is James Gunn's version.
Didn't like Justice League? We'll here is a 4hr cut.
Didn't like Letos Joker? Well, here's Phoenix in the role.
Didn't like moody Superman? Well, here is a hopeful Supergirl.

Every step forward just reminds me of how much WB [frick]ed up letting Zack and Ayer envision these characters.

I like her in the black hair, makes her look more unique more memorable but she still might look good in the classic blonde hair 🤷🏾 Tough choice.

@VENOMguy420 - She actually does look better as a blonde in my opinion:

@VENOMguy420 - 90% of the planet doesn’t have blonde or red head recessive gene alternatives.

The abundance of blonde and ginger comic characters is in direct relation to the 1-tone skin color people drew in the 30’s-60’s.

I’m all for more Hispanic superheroes, even replacing blonde ones. The amount of Hispanic heroes for how impactful they are in the US melting pot is terribly low
