Guillermo del Toro Says WB Has Plans For "The Entire DC Universe"

The Pacific Rim director, who is attached to a Justice League Dark movie, suggests that all of the recent DC announcements (not to mention a LOT of rumors) might just be the beginning. It sounds as if DC are finally getting their shared movie universe together.

We figured Warner Bros. and DC were finally getting their act together when it was announced that Batman would be making an appearance in Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel sequel, but since that we've had a few very persistent rumors about the likes of Wonder Woman also popping up in that movie, as well as several tv announcements including Constantine, Hourman and The Flash. Now while talking to Cinefilos.it, director Guillermo del Toro reveals that this may all just be the tip of the iceberg, and suggests that we are looking at a huge DC rollout -- possibly encapsulating characters that make up the "entire DC universe".

"We're still on [Justice League Dark], writing, and hopefully it will happen but there are no developments that are new. We're still at Warner Bros., they are making plans for the entire DC universe. All the superheroes, all the mythologies, and part of that is Justice League Dark. They're planning on TV, movies, and all the media, so we have to fit into that plan."

But will all of these be connected? Del Toro certainly makes it sound that way. If these plans don't include The Sandman somewhere I will not be happy! Anyway, not exactly very surprising given the recent announcements but it's nice to know this is all just the beginning. Thoughts?
