Here's An Update On Where Things Currently Stand With Warner Bros.' MAN OF STEEL Sequel

Superman may have looked awful in Justice League after Warner Bros. gave Henry Cavill a CGI mouth to hide his Mission: Impossible moustache but an argument could be made that we still got the best big screen take on the hero for quite some time. Despite that, there's still no sign of the Man of Steel sequel and a new report claims that Warner Bros.' original plan was to announce that this month.

That's because the response to the character at test screenings was overwhelmingly positive and the studio was hoping to ride a similar amount of positivity from Justice League into its announcement.

Unfortunately, Justice League bombed and the majority of moviegoers became fixated on how terrible his CGI mouth looked. As a result, Warner Bros. has reportedly decided to hold off on the announcement but the plan is still to unveil the movie - which won't be titled Man of Steel 2 - with a release date and director "pretty soon." When exactly that will
be obviously remains to be seen.

Still, this is a somewhat positive update and it's good to know that the movie is still in the works. With any luck, Matthew Vaughn will ultimately decide to direct but we'll just have to wait and see...

The DCEU is the product of greedy money-hungry corporate suits. These people have little to no true understanding of the comics, or their amazing roster of characters. They’ve rushed their entire cinematic universe in order to make fast cash and try to play catch up with Marvel. It’s a real shame because DC has some truly incredible characters, and if told properly, many stories that could rival what Marvel has been putting up on the big screen. Sadly, they also have a fan base that DEFENDS them. Stop giving them money. That’s the only way they’ll ever learn and finally do these movies right. In my view, (although it may not be a popular one) WB needs to take a good five year break from superhero films. Finish the ones that are currently in development and set to release, and just take a long break. They desperately need to re-strategize plans for their cinematic universe. What they’ve been doing is not fair to the DC characters, the true fans of the comics, and general audiences.

Loved MoS and Superman in JL so cannot wait for MoS 2.
Apart from the horrible CGI 'tache can we not have more of that light costume where you can see the padding.
Also Cavill still seems very enthusiastic for the role.

How about the report that Cavill’s will have the red briefs on the outside just like the new comic? Where’s the article on that report? #BoycottWilding

The CGi on bringing the late Paul Walker to the big screen for FaF7(with help from his brother)was most excellent. Still can't figure out why the CGi on Henry Cavill's face was such a massive cock-up but hey ho. There's still time to correct it, no? No?! Noooooooooooo!

Surprised Warner Bros. haven't tapped their old mate J. K. Rowling for a few ideas for the cinematic universe.
She can turn a $ or two apparently. x)
