John Cena And The Rock In The Running To Play Superman!?

In perhaps one of the most ridiculous rumors ever, it's been reported that the current WWE wrestler John Cena and former wrestler turned actor Dwayne Johnson are both being considered for the role of Superman...

Now I have literally no idea just how reliable a source The Examiner is, but the site is reporting that both John Cena and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson are being seriously considered for a role in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. Here are some excerpts from the report in all their hard-to-believe glory:

The latest Hollywood rumblings report that WWE superstar (and upcoming actor) John Cena may be in the running to play Clark Kent, the mild-mannered reporter who takes on the life of a super hero by night.

Prior to Cena's name getting tossed into the mix, there was talk of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson playing the role of Superman in the next yet-to-be-named sequel.

I think it's fair to say that this is bullshit. However, John Cena was once a popular choice with some fans for Captain America (no, I don't know why either) and was rumoured to be in the running at one time. Could the same thing be happenning here? Are Warner Bros really considering the WWE star? And what of The Rock? Although he's proved that he can act, is he right for a role like Clark Kent? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!
