Long-time "DC Comics" fans are extremely excited about the myriad of possibilities created by the box office success of "Man of Steel". While we're still all on that high, lets look at another outstanding facet of the film, the sound effects and sound mixing. Comic book movies typically don't get any love around award season time but they certainly have a chance to win in categories like Vfx and Sound editing/mixing. I think Man of Steel is a real contender in those two areas.

This movie was way better than IM3, not to start a flame war or anything. For a series reboot MOS has dominated! I hope it still takes in a lotta cash this weekend. I need to see it again soon

This film is astounding and unique. It's a shame there's so much negative energy among critics (and some people who haven't even seen it), but exit polls are at 82% raves and another 10% who really enjoyed it. Only 3% of moviegoers have had a problem with the film, the usual fanboys who walked into the theater determined to find fault so they could claim to have been capable of doing a better job. These guys are deluded, but thank goodness there are so few of them, however vocal and annoying a screaming toddler can be. As for the "critics", they wanted a bright and shiny boy scout film with lots of jokes and romance. Screw 'em.

Question to any and all who have seen MOS. i figured this was the site to come to for a question like this.

Question: after two viewings of MOS, ( i may have missed the answer )How is it that Superman's suit is on that ship he found, ready for him, when the ship belongs to people from his planet that had arrived 18 thousand years earlier?

Here's a bit from Deborah Snyder on the suit:
“The other thing that was important for Zack was that the costume not come out of nowhere. It had to have a reason. We were building a world. We go to Krypton and we see this world, and we see that everything has its place. If they’re in space he wanted it to feel like a space suit, and he wanted it to feel like the under-layer that they would maybe put armour over. It’s also a caped society, so when you go to Krypton he wanted to see variations of this costume. And knowing that it was a caped society he wanted that to be evident when we were on Krypton, so when Clark finally finds the costume and puts it on you’ve established where it’s come from.”

That doesn't really answer the question, but I think it's a safe bet there were many suits on that ship and the El family crest could have been, like stated above, 3D printed or something by the Jor-El program.

Read the prequel comic and it tells you why the ship is there. When Jor-El is telling Clark about the history of Krypton, all the explorers wear the House of El symbols and the flags has the symbol of House of El. So there would be extra suits like that with the House of El symbol.

Since when did box office performance determine whether a film is good or not?

I mean, look at IM3. That movie was garbage and made a shit load of money.

Batman Begins was great and didn't perform that well. It was measured against the likes of Avengers that didn't exist yet.

Just because a movie doesn't make a billion dollars it's first week, doesn't mean it's not great.

Sooo many butthurt critics of this movie. It blows me away that it's getting such harsh reviews. This movie may split the superhero movie fandom in a way no other movie has before.

To me personally, it is one of the best Comic Book Movies I have ever seen. I just really can not process why on earth people are hating on this film, it was extraordinary.

Thanks for the clarification of the suit, guys. I theorized some of those by it was good to hear more. There's usually always a reason even if the movie doesn't spell it out for you. Another plot hole bites the dust!

The problem with the so called critics are, they come and sit and looking and finding flaws that doesn't suit their taste instead of watch and review the movie and understand it's approach and drown in it's story, drama, action and all the wonders it provide. The sadder thing is, how the general audience is like a herd of sheep who can't form a genuine opinion amd just go with what critics telling them, when you all know that what they may said is very subjective form of opinion.

@Super12
I to had questions as to how Supes suit was there waiting for him in the ship. I think with any movie, if we look hard enough for answers to the questions we have about certain points in a film, we will find some sort of answer. i just think it's best when movie makers put those answers as clear as possible within the film, instead of having to go outside that medium for the answers.

**SPOILER**

@fandomX, the key that Clark/Kal-El had was in essence a memory stick or a flash drive. Not only did it have the consciousness of Jor El, but it also had information about his heritage, how to re-create his race and more than likely the ability to create the traditional clothing of Krypton. The costume wasn't necessarily waiting for him on the ship, but it was fabricated for him through the information on the key.
