Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel takes flight next June, And not a lot is know about the film as of yet. According our sources a good portion of the film will take place on a war torn Krypton. With this new info that means we can expect to see a lot of Russell Crowe as Superman's biological father Jor-El. There are no details on exactly how much time will be spent on the planet or on the war its self, we are also told to be on the look out for other happenings there as well.

Earlier this month it was reported that Man Of Steel will be at San Diego Comic Con as well. The insider told me that not only will they be there but also confirmed that a trailer will be shown as well. The length of the trailer is unknown, but there will be footage at Comic Con for sure. Also, there will be a few additional scenes included with the trailer. Whether or not this will be the trailer that will be featured in theaters was not disclosed.

Man Of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne with Christopher Meloni, Harry Lennix, and will be released on June 14, 2013.

I just hope Jonathan Nolan helped out with the dialogue because

Snyder and Good Dialogue does not go together.

It should be interesting to see a war between kryptonians. I just hope that the movie doesn't feel rushed.

@teabag, absolutely nothing! :)

Sounds interesting to me. Smallville messed up a lot of things, but they did a pretty solid job with their Kandor episode.

With a blockbuster budget, this should be pretty great visually.

Hmm, that sounds interesting. Could be very cool, but hopefully they don't spend so much time there that it takes away valuable time from the Earth sequences. It will have to be probably at least 2hr 30min to allow for that.

Kevin Costner is playing the farmer that heard a message saying "If you build it, he will come". He then built a baseball field which was promptly destroyed by a small spaceship that had a baby in it.

Man, I hope they don't show us WAY TOO MUCH, as all the other movies seem to be doing these days. I felt as though I'd already seen Avengers when it finally came out. I feel the same way about The Amazing Spider-Man. Seriously, is there any plot point or special effect that we HAVEN'T seen yet in that movie. Make Man Of Steel unique, and keep a lid on EVERYTHING until it comes out. Make us wait - it's SUPERMAN... trust us... we're going to go and see this movie!

I have it on good authority that the extended Krypton scene is nothing more than Jor-El's search for Krypto. He doesn't want to send his boy off without his dog.

Sounds awesome, building more of a back story and the whole mythology in general of any character is always a good thing.

More quality storytelling and gets you more attached to the characters.

And this does make more sense seeing as Zod is the main villain and Superman is just starting out. Clark is probably still not sure what to do with his powers, or what his father would want him to do with them, seeing as he sent him to earth for a reason. As well as who he is as a Kryptonian. Zod probably tries to convince him to join him as a true Kryptonian, taking over and ruling over the planet earth, which is the opposite of what Jor-el wanted.

So showing the back story of the relationship between Jor-el and Zod and their differing opinions in spite of being friends on Krypton, which was focused heavily on in the War of Krypton, makes total sense.

Sooooooooo looking forward to this.

That would be awesome, just tease him in MOS but dont reveal who he truly is until the sequel.

I don't mind a little back story and history on Krypton and why Supes ends up on Earth to set things up, but the "Featured Heavily" put a little pit in my stomach. I want to see grown-up Superman doing his thing, not a drawn out origins story. Skepticism level goes up a notch for me.
