It's got to be an improvement from (mis)Fortune!

"Fortune" was the worst episode of Smallville that I've ever seen. I am so pissed!

Tonight's epi was not as bad as some since the break. They mentioned Batman, so I'm happy, as long as he flies and puts on the suit I will consider the show a success.

I wanted Terri Hatcher to cameo, and a Batman reference, I got both.

How can anyone be happy with the Batman reference? Little miss over-hyped Chloe Sullivan basically discovered Batman in the Smallville universe. How many people smarter than her don't know his secret identity? That is infuriating to me!

If it wasn't the last season, I think I'd cut it off. Seriously. After all all the crap Smallville has put me through over the years, 3 movie rip offs in a row and pissing on Batman's coolness is enough to really make me want to get off this crazy ride.

I don't care how they mentioned Batman, they could have had the Lemur do it and I still would have been happy. All I wanted was for them to find some way to skirt the Bat Embargo, and they did.

Yes, Chloe knowing first is odd, but with her involvement in the fight against the VRA I think that it is perfectly logical for her to have come across info on the DCU's most notorious vigilante. Yes, a Bat reference would have been better than a Bruce reference, but it is SV, you can't expect too much.

I didn't care that it wasn't a Batman reference. Clark isn't Superman, why would we expect a Batman reference? Bruce Wayne was always fine enough. Bruce Wayne was something everyone always wanted to see.

But Chloe explained her "calling" as finding heroes and helping them realize their full potential. A.K.A. she's helping make Wonder Woman and Batman. I find this insulting to Batman's character.

I understand Smallville really loving Chloe and feeling like they've got to do a lot with her. She's an original character. It's just like any author who writes a fanfiction and includes an original character: they like to make them do too freaking much. That's what they did with Chloe. She's too relevant to the mythology, especially considering that life did go on without her around.

And Chloe's exit is a lot like Lana's. They bring her back as a guest star, give her some super task, and then they're done.

And the VRA is the dumbest thing ever. How can Clark and the crew have so much freedom when the law banned super heroes when they knew his identity and his cousin is a outed super hero? And just throwing this out there, it doesn't make sense that Clark should be able to hid his identity with Kara being a public figure.

Don't try to make logic out of Smallville. There is none. I don't expect a lot of Smallville. I lower my expectations a little more every week so it'll be tolerable. This week, I was shocked that they bothered with that weak Wonder Woman and Batman reference. I'm officially glad that Smallville never bothered with an appearance, because they would have character raped them both.

"I didn't care that it wasn't a Batman reference. Clark isn't Superman, why would we expect a Batman reference?"

The problem is that it was referencing Bruce Wayne as a hero, which no one should know. Technically it is a bastardization of the character to infer that he let himself be discovered by a prole like Chloe. To be true to the character he should only have been referenced on the show as Bruce Wayne(Billionaire) OR Batman(Hero with Gadgets) not both.

Of course, if they happen to go the Fate helmet route my argument will be void, and she will just have abused her powers.

They're setting up a season 11 that will never happen. The writers at Crapville are continually teasing us with thing we'll never see.

-Batman
-Wonder Woman
-Superman

The last one they've been teasing us with for 10 years now.

How some Smallville fans blindly defend this show for all of it's crappy faults makes me ashamed to even call myself a fan. Geez! 10 years I've watched this show and this is the biggest slap in the face that I've ever experienced! I can't wait until it's over. I don't even know if I'm gonna miss it when it's gone. I'm so disappointed with their crap! At least Harvest had an important story arc with the Lex clone, so it wasn't all the way filler. This was crap that just glorified their original character once again.

Lex Luthor probably never died. He probably has been alive, but laying low the whole time. Healing and plotting the death of Clark Kent.

@gorgeousgeeks...Sadly, I couldn't agree more!

@marvel72...There you go generalizing, again. Take a [frick]ing logic course! Some fans will adore anything and everything about the this show or another because they are FANATICS (just as HATERS will find a way to dislike everything and anything about it, too).

Give it a rest.

I never understood the need to piss on people the way you and a few others here have. Once in a while comes across as humorous, but constantly needing to do it is bizarre. Try to practice self-control sometimes; it's likely you don't see it, but you have social issues, my friend, seek help. I'm being completely serious. I'm not trying to be funny or take the piss outta you, just pointing out how scary your behavior consistently is. You do realize that you will never convince fans of the show of anything and that most just humor your comments because you come across as a bit fanatical with your disgust (or they're just as kooky in their behavior...uh, Griff). It's scary to think you could be my neighbor!

Back to my point: most people can be a fan of the show and still be discerning. It's not too difficult if you take it for what it is: a comic book TV show. Comic books, after all, aren't considered great literature and weekly TV shows aren't written in the same way movies or theatre is written. Every season has its stellar episodes and its stinker episodes. Most of the episodes this season and from season 8 were garbage in my eyes, but that doesn't mean fans are suddenly turning on the show or that it in general is a "shit show." Grow the [frick] up and get over yourself. Go be "cleaver" somewhere else (please don't make this your main focus of a response, because you have EVERY right to say what you want about the show...yada, yada, yada). For that reason alone, I'm looking forward to the show ending. But with your needs, I'm sure you'll find something else.

Sorry for the rant, people, just digging the sand out ;D

@supersayianfan1 The worst thing about Lex/Lana was that Lex was so in love, crazy obsessed with her. He lost all his dignity! But I didn't mind their relationship, because she was on the path to evil herself. They fit pretty well together.

Giving Lana super powers was dumb. Chloe discovering Wonder Woman and Batman, is even worse.

@supersayianfan1 I actually thought a lot of season 8 was okay. It's just that the ending was so ridiculously bad that the entire season became meaningless. Season 9 was my favorite season, besides maybe when Smallville first came on. 10 is trying so hard to be great that it's making me regret being on this ride for so long. There's only so much head spinning we can take before we have to get off and throw up our lunch.

Since they have mentioned Batman and since the movie franchise is ending maybe we will be able to see him on the show before the end of the series.

I wish that Wonder Woman would be introduced on this show before it goes on to the NBC show.
