Kevin Spacey Shares His Thoughts On Jesse Eisenberg As Lex Luthor In BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN

Of all the complaints made about Bryan Singer's Superman Returns, it's rare that you ever see anyone criticising Kevin Spacey's take on Lex Luthor. Now, the House of Cards star shares his thoughts on Jesse Eisenberg taking on the role in Batman Vs. Superman!

Not everyone was overly pleased with Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder's decision to choose The Social Network's Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor for 2016's Batman Vs. Superman, but now another actor who has played the character shares his thoughts on the controversial casting decision. In an interview with Empire Magazine, Kevin Space had this today say in their latest issue. "First of all, I think [Jesse Eisenberg] is a remarkable actor. He's just going to [frick]ing own it. I think it's a great idea and I wish him the best with it." However, it sounds as if we shouldn't expect to see Spacey taking on another comic book movie role any time soon, as he added: "But now I want to explore different terrain. I wrote Woody Allen a letter last year, saying I'd be keen to do something with him. And he wrote back, very charmingly, so I'm on the list now! I set him up with a Netflix subscription too, but I don't know if he's used it. So, yeah, it would be great if that happened. I'm going to write to Scorsese. There are a lot of directors I need to get letters out to..."

He played a great Lex. And to be honest, no famous actor is going to come out to say anything blatantly negative about Jesse playing Lex. It would do more harm than good for the sake of their careers. You can post any actors thoughts on the decision, but they won't be honest about their feelings until the movie is done and over with...Hopefully Jesse can change some minds with his performance. If he sucks, people will say, "I knew it all along but didn't admit it." If he's great, people will say, "I knew he'd be great! I told you!"

Brandon Routh was a better Superman than Henry Cavill will ever be...

This just in: Grif is currently traveling the world, learning the deadliest martial arts in the world. He's learning to use theatricality and deception to appear to be more than a man, to be a symbol. Unfortunately, he has no interest in altruism and could give a [frick] about humanity, he's doing this so that he can hunt down and eliminate Jesse Eisenberg.

If only Snyder could have directed Spacey and Routh together......THAT would have been magic

Spacey is a phenomenal actor, liked him as Lex, hated that Bryan Singer directed it.

Henry Cavill's hairline is already throwing in the towel. He's 6'1 and he had a bulky body with a skinny neck. Just looked kinda weird. Plus his acting ability is nowhere near that of Routh's

All Routh would need to do is bulk up just a bit more. His costume was kind of wack, but he should be the MoS we're looking at today...

In a serious, fresh Superman movie Spacey could have been a great, great Lex. Sadly they decided to cast him in the wannabe-Donner-sequel. Hackman's Lex is one of my least favourite incarnations of the character.

Under the same circumstances, he'd kill the performance just a bit more than Cavill would..

Definition of 'Circle hits/gets the square': When someone answers a question correctly or says something that you especially agree with. May be referred to as 'And circle gets the square', or 'And circle hits the square.'

I personally favor the latter.

This is for those of you who haven't been quite understanding what I've been saying.

He would've been the best Luthor if they just made Returns a reboot.

I love Gene Hackman, but it's about time we see the modern age Lex on the big screen.

And no, Mark Zuckerberg doesn't count.

Routh was a terrible Superman and Spacey was a terrible Lex. Superman Returns, as a whole, was crap!
