Rapper and sometime actor Scott "Kid Cudi" Mescudi posted the following image (possible concept design sketch?) to his Tumblr..



He also added this..

An original one of a kind sketch of a unknown Ninja Turtle by one half of the creators, Kevin Eastman. A gift given to me by my homies Andrew Form and Brad Fuller over at Platinum Dunes. Hint hint mane


So at the very least Cudi has met with the studio regarding the movie, and even if he isn't playing/voicing one of the Turtles themselves, it certainly sounds like he is involved in some capacity. He also tweeted - "To everyone with doubts & concerns about the new TMNT reboot, trust me, there is NOTHING to worry about. Trust. Everyone will be pleased!". But of course that doesn't necessarily mean that the above image has any bearing on what the Turtles will look like in the movie, it might just be a cool sketch done for Cudi by Eastman. Still, you never know, certainly looks quite "alien" to me. What do you guys think?

In a perfect world, this is just a prank by Bay, meant to [frick] with our expectations before they release the actual artwork that looks much more like the source material.

Hey you might be right, I'm only asking the question with the article, Cudi is still definitely involved. Either way I'd say there is much more of a chance of that being the new look for the Ninja Turtles than there ever was of Jason Statham joining Transformers 4 based on an unrelated tweet by Tyrese Gibson:)

I don't care what they do to the Ninja Turtles, and you would be hard pressed to find a bigger TMNT fan growing up in the late 80's early 90's. I don't think there was one piece of merchandise I didn't own. Just keep everyone's personality the same, make them resemble their cartoon counterparts a little bit and make a good, fun movie without taking the subject too seriously. If people really cared about the franchise they would have made the last one a success. Michael Bay isn't raping anyone's childhood with this movie. His movies make money, and are often fun to watch. They never have great plots, but they will keep you entertained and you will more than likely get your money's worth. Well save for Transformers 2, that was just awful. I just feel a lot of people hate him because it's the geeky cool thing to do.
