Grant Gustin Teases THE FLASH's "Heartbreaking" Finale

Last week's episode of The Flash capped off with Barry Allen working with the Arrow Al Sah-Him and Firestorm to take down Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash. The Scarlet Speedster himself, Grant Gustin, spoke with TV Line to preview tomorrow night's finale, which picks up where 'Rogue Air' left off. He says that we will discover Thawne's true agenda, which, as the show has been not-so-subtly teasing, is to return to the night of Nora Allen's murder. "If you've seen [the trailer for the finale]," he says, "you see that he does indeed go back to the night his mom was murdered, and he makes that decision and he's there, and we'll have to see how that goes down and how that changes things." His final words on 'Fast Enough' is that it's an "incredibly gut-wrentching, heartbreaking" episode, which is sure to get fans excited (and nervous). Episode 23 of The Flash airs tomorrow at 8/7c on the CW.

in all honesty, I hope they don't keep the more Flashpoint elements out of the finale/next season. They've teased elements of it with Farooq changing time, Barry's Mom, etctera, but I want more damn it.

Even if its just three episodes of next season, I would LOVE to have the alternate world that Barry caused, with his villains and friends twisted, his world falling apart, and his life on its head.

This will borrow the basic premise of Flashpoint but obviously change up a lot. I'm guessing in alt timeline Caitlin is already Killer Frost and Cisco is already Vibe. Then in Season 3 or whenever if Barry returns he'll have the knowledge of what happens to them.

Good show! Really wish they would've kept the reveal on who killed Barry's mom for next season tho. Helps the characters as well as the audience build their trust in Wells even more only to have it shattered except giving us a villain who's arguably the Flash's best villain.
