Is the Blue Streak in The Australian Teaser Trailer for The Flash Really Barry Allen?

Much like everyone else earlier this week I saw the Australian trailer for the Flash and immediately began to think hm, could this new version of Zoom be an amalgam between the new Future Barry Allen of the New 52, and Pre-New 52 Zoom?

Much like everyone else earlier this week I saw the Australian trailer for the Flash and immediately began to think hm, could this new version of Zoom be an amalgam between the new Future Barry Allen of the New 52, and Pre-New 52 Zoom?While I detail that theory and others here (based on the information we currently have) I noticed something as I watched the Australian trailer for what seemed to be the thirtieth time, something small, but something that may be significant.

The theory that the “blue streak” was actually Barry Allen stemmed from seeing Barry’s eyes  “ignite” with blue lightning…but here’s the thing, Barry’s eyes don’t ignite with blue lightning, the trailer begins with the lightning streaming across his eyes (as seen to the right).  Something else I noted is that the lightning seems to cross Barry’s eyes completely, something that’s never happened before, as you can see below:

As you can see (or almost make out…but you can double check) is that every time Barry gets “lightning in his eyes” the lightning seems to grow from the sides of his eyes but never, never crosses his pupils. Unless the writers decided to completely change the effect the only thing that could cause such an appearance is that the blue lightning that we see isn’t coming from Barry’s eyes, but it is something he is watching, and the blue lightning is reflecting off of his glassy eyes.

It’s also worth noting that we never actually see Barry take off running in the Australian trailer, just rehashed scenes from the teaser we were shown at SDCC – San Diego Comic Con – a little over a month ago. This, coupled with the fact that the speedster in the trailer is wearing either a black or dark blue costume, whereas the one shot of Barry clearly shows he is wearing red, makes me doubt the blue lightning is truly Barry’s….although that’s not to say it doesn’t belong to a different version of Barry. Again all Zoom theories – factually based – are detailed here.

@ManCalledSting

The person running and the close up of Barry's face were two different people in two different suits.
I'm not saying they both aren't Barry...but they weren't the same person
