THE FLASH Co-Director Seemingly Reveals When Fans Can Expect To See The DC Movie Hit Theaters

It's been a while since we had any solid updates regarding WB's plans for The Flash's first solo adventure, but one of the film's co-directors has now seemingly given us an ETA on its theatrical release...

Warner Bros. is expected to have a big presence at SDCC next month, which means there's a pretty good chance we'll finally get some official updates on the studio's plans for The Scarlet Speedster's first solo big screen adventure.

In the meantime, though, one of the film's directors appears to have given us some idea of when The Flash is expected to zip into theaters - all going well, that is!

Though Daley doesn't mention The Flash specifically, he isn't attached to any other projects (that we know of), and WB has already announced that they've dated two untitled DC movies for 2020 - the first for February 14, and the second for June 5th.

Obviously we'll have to wait for some kind of official word, but after this Tweet, it's a safe bet The Flash will land on one of those dates.

@Krav - The CW´s TV show is more respectful with The Flash than the JUSTICE LEAGUE movie version

Why should I go to the cinema and pay to watch the stupid clown version of The Flash

@SisterSunday52 - How did you know all of that? lol. And that's the problem with you “people”, you think that everything Snyder does or change is perfect. Barry is a charming guy and the movies should start with that. Funny that you hate the tv show but Snyder's changes would have been worse. lol “fascinating” I can't stop laughing.

@lvcl - Ezra's Flash was much closer to Bart Allen than Barry.

@lvcl - "We are the Flash" and Barry's frequent crying? Real respectful....

Can we get The Batman and Man of Steel 2 in 2020 also? By the time we see See superman again, he'll have less hair than Lex.

Nah...

DC should've had a Flash movie out by now. Heck, it could've been released in 2016 if they had a logical plan. But no, now we gotta wait til 3005 for a freakin Flash film. And that's IF... everything goes well.

This lull in DC movies is boring. I guess it’s necessary so they can hopefully stop sucking and be consistently good but there has been so much Marvel and it’s all been great and there is a lot more to come before another DC movie that I’m just ready for some more DC and for them to get back to being out more regularly.

The key here I think really is patience. I know that for a lot of people, that’s easier said then done, but from what we’ve heard so far, things are starting to run smoothly. Would it have been ideal if they did what marvel did and get everyone in line before Justice League and have a solid plan? Of course, but it sounds like they are starting to understand the problem and trying to put out top grade movies. All they really need to do is get organized, get a plan going, and trim the fat, which it sounds might be happening for the most part.

2018 - Aquaman
2019 - Shazam ! and Wonder Woman 1984
2020 - The Flash

Add Man of Steel 2 and Green Lantern Corps on the end of that list and you've got yourself a party. I'm actually getting optimistic about Hamada's turn around of the DCEU and I'm excited for these next 4 films, Game Night really assuaged my concerns with Daley and Goldstein directing.

I'm just hoping Green Lantern and Batman also come out in 2020, that way we'll 100% establish all the main Leaguers with their own film, but I have a feeling Birds of Prey and Suicide Squad 2 may happen before Batman does. I'm all good so long as they make good films and actually get around to the few of their many projects that are actually justified and have wonderful talent attached; no Black Adam movie before Matt Reeves Batman movie, is all I essentially ask. Basically, anything in the vain of that stupidity, I don't want it. And I seem to be the one of the few who wants that Chris McKay Nightwing movie.

How long until Justice League 2 comes out? 2022 maybe but no later than 2025

@TheBlueMorpho - Hopefully they hold off on that later than 2022. With the weird Batman angle, they need to churn that film out first before they make any immediate plans for Justice League 2, I think. I think 2024 at the earliest seems justified, WB just has too much catching up to do. Of course, I'm assuming that all the films they intend to make actually get made, which likely won't be the case, but even if they make half of the movies they announced, not including sequels for their existing franchises in the future(Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Shazam, Supes) they would still have a lot on their plate.

@ScarletWarlock -

Once the remaining core of JL characters get their solo movies who didn't already excluding Cyborg cause I don't think that will happen but who knows then they should attempt the JL sequel. If they keep to a 2-3 movie per year starting in 2020 and at least 2 out of the 3 movies is a core JL character movie that should be enough to build to the JL sequel for a 2024 release
