Iris West Actress Kiersey Clemons Comments On Director Rick Famuyiwa's Departure From THE FLASH

Before parting ways with Warner Bros. over "creative differences," The Flash helmer Rick Famuyiwa cast Kiersey Clemons as Iris West and Billy Crudup as Henry Allen. While it's possible the latter could also walk away now he'll no longer get the chance to work with Famuyiwa, Clemons is pretty much committed to sticking around after reportedly shooting a cameo for the upcoming Justice League.

Talking to The Hollywood Reporter recently, Clemons (who worked with the director on Dope), had this to say about where things now stand for her as part of the DC Films Universe. "Rick was one of the main reasons I wanted to do the movie. So him not being a part of it is obviously very upsetting to me. All I can do is give it up to the gods. Let's see what happens. Let's see who's going to jump in."

The actress is still clearly enthusiastic about delivering a fresh take on the journalist and love interest to Barry Allen anyway as she added, "Ezra and I are going to do what we promised to do from the beginning. No matter who the director is, I am going to do what I think Iris should be." That's no bad thing, but we could have some time to wait before it happens now that production has been delayed!

Are you guys still looking forward to seeing Clemons as Iris in The Flash movie? Sound off below.

And Iris being black has actually grown on me. I would prefer it over her being white actually.
