With a great chunk of Marvel's Thor being set in a mythical setting, Asgard, pretty much confirms there will be mythical creatures, based on the actual comics, and Norse Mythology overall. One thing we don't know is how they may look. Fan Boy Web has just posted what would be the answer to that.
Pivotal Norse character is the Ice Giant Ymir. Ymir is said to be accompanied by some formidable Frost Giants. Word has it that the special effects for these legendary monsters would cause fans to turn a cold shoulder. It is said they look downright terrible. Here is some previous concept art from the supposed game based off the film. They feature the frost giants and creatures the sources was referring to above.
MF: Just so you're not confused, this is good news. They are NOT saying the effects are Bad, but the way the creatures are supposed to look is bad. Basically they are saying the creatures are UGLY.
