More Thor: The Mighty Avenger Movie Action Figures Revealed!

Check out the action figures of Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Chris Hemsworth as Thor in a very different costume to what we've seen before! And why do the boxes refer to the movie as The Mighty Avenger?

Thanks to SuperHeroHype for the following picture from the New York Comic Con:

The most interesting thing about the above pictures is not only that Thor seems to be in a very different costume to what we've seen before but the fact that the box refers to the movie as Thor: The Mighty Avenger as the video game also does. Is this just a name used being for merchandise or are Marvel yet to announce the full title of the movie? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

Thor is set to be released on May 20, 2011!

I hope Thors suit doesn't morph into this at some point during the film. The figure we were shown at the SDCC looked exactly like all the Thor photos we have seen so far. I wonder why there is such a difference.

I wouldn't worry much. I'm guessing these toys are the same as every other toy that comes out. They always have different looking figures. TDK figures came with several different looking figures and gadgets, most of which we never saw in the movie. Also... Gotta have that helmet.

That "Mighty Avenger" line has been around for quite a while... never on the movie title from what I can tell, but definitely on the tie-in promotions.

Take a look at the banner from E3 in June: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/Poniverse/news/?a=19134

LMAO, thanks tea!!! :D

HAWKS: I agree. That is not a costume I want to see in the movie! Would they remove the cape for The Avengers in order to make him look more like the Ultimate version? I sure as [frick] hope not! I'm sure it's just a variation of the regular figure like they did with the Iron Man and Iron Man 2 ones though!

Thanks for these pictures. The figures are for kids and will clog shelves just like every other adult film comic book conversion movie stuff. When will the toy makers figure out this trash has no appeal to anyone? Just look at these posts and you see there is no serious interest in this puke. I was really hoping for some good marvel legends quality like figs. I knew it was going to be the same Hulk, Iron man, X-men marketing POS stuff no one wants! There not horrible but also not worth the $10-$15 bucks they will try and get for them. Helmet looks fun (if I can get it to fit!)

I still say the costumes are a bit dull and drab. This was the best art stuff in the comics!
