As was reported several times before, principal photography for Marvel Studios'
THOR was split between studio time in Manhattan Beach, California, and Galisteo, New Mexico; in which an entire city was built solely for the production. Back in early May, when filming for THOR was in full swing, one of the Paramount Pictures crew members took several pictures while on the movie's set. Though these images don't reveal too much, one does give us a decent glimpse of the mock city that was constructed:
This helicopter was used to film aerial shots of the movie set.
Notice the front mount camera which swivels by using a joystick inside the chopper
The rigging grips trailer on the movie "THOR"
Look at that sky.....later we did get a shower and the set turned into a mud hole

It's not too surprising that the city closely resembles the town in Oklahoma which has been recently featured in J. Michael Straczynski latest run of Thor comics:
Hopefully, with
Iron Man 2 already released in theaters, Marvel Studios will surely begin showcasing more official artwork and images for
THOR leading up to the big reveal at this year's Comic Con International in San Diego, CA.
