Samuel L Jackson Still Isn't Sure About being in Thor

The 2010 Sundance Film Festival is getting alot of steam. Now Samuel L Jackson, again, still isn't sure about being in Thor. Check out the vid from Acess Hollywood

It's pretty obvious that Nick Fury won't be in the actual film, but maybe after the credits. It's really smart Marvel didn't try to force the character in the film, just cause the the 9-pic deal.

That's big money to get nerdgasms.

They have two films down already what other ones would they have him in.

His presence would not be needed. If anything, they need just a few Shield agents to maybe address the Thunder God into possibly joining their initiative.

Marvel doesn't exactly have 9 future films planned. "nine" is at least the amount of films he could make an appearance in.

Mabey they could have Nick Fury in Asgard but played by David Hasselhoff. It could be an epic failure on a whole new plane of existence. :)

I say have shield agents get him not Fury. Frequent Fury appearances can get annoying a bit.

I don't have an issue either way as long as there is a tie-in to the Avengers.

tea: LMAO, hilarious as always man! :)

I hope he's in it - it'll be cool to see him approach Thor in some way! As long as it doesnt feel forced then I think that the more Nick Fury the better! Good stuff MF!

The nine pic deal is for sequels as well guys. If everything goes off you could see another IM movie, maybe 1-2 more solo Thor or Cap movies, Ant-Man, Avengers sequels and so on and so on.

Marvel is looking at things with a 10 year plan

Sam makes a good point, they would want to waste one of Sam's roles by having him walk in and say a few lines. I like Sam as Fury, Ultimate or not I think eh;s gonna do a good job and I'd actually like to see more of him...just as long as everyone else is 616 it's kusty :)

If you have him contracted for 9 movies. Use him. how sweet would it be if he just "Popped up" in the WW2 portion of Captain America. Remember just a little Sam goes a long ways. Maybe just long enough to say Mother Fricker and tie some woman to a radiator

He really needs to be in it. He is the center piece of the Marvel Movieverse, the glue that binds the other films together. He should be in IM2, Thor, and Cap to cement the idea that these flicks take place in the same world. Sure fanboys and girls already know that but his appearances are going to be the most obvious link for general movie audiences rather than SHIELD alone.

If they are using any of the Straczynski stuff from the comics (where Asgard is relocated to Oklahoma) I think a Fury appearance really makes sense, since someone has to make contact with the Asgardians on earth

I do like the ultimate Sammy but anyone reading "Secret Warriors' most underrated book out. Fury is one awesome special op character not to put on screen!

i guess people forget that he wasn't in the Incredible Hulk??? they can still tie Thor in with the other movies without Fury, Incredible Hulk found a way to do it just fine...
LuckyKyd
LuckyKyd - 3/17/2010, 8:17 AM
I think it is nice that they are saving him for more important cameos and possibly a Nick Fury and the Howling Commandoes film. ;)

@Corndog: Hey buddy, How's it goin'? - And you hit the nail right on the head there!
They can still tie it in beautifully, perhaps with Coulson or maybe Hawkeye, as some was talking about...

Remember guys, Nick Fury is the head director, he has people, who can attent to the things he doesn't have the time to get around to.

As much as I hate him as Nick Fury, he needs to at least make a cameo in the film. He ties all the superheros together to ultimately show the Avengers as a unit.
