STAR TREK BEYOND's Karl Urban Debuts His New Skurge The Executioner Haircut For Marvel's THOR: RAGNAROK

Karl Urban had previously hinted that he'd be shaving his head to portray the fan-fave Asgardian hard-case in Thor: Ragnarok, and now he's shared a pic of the results of his trip to the barbers...

Marvel fans have been waiting to see Skurge the Executioner go up against the God of Thunder since the first Thor movie was announced, and now they'll finally get to see it happen - and with an actor the calibre of Star Trek Beyond's Karl Urban in the role to boot.

In past interviews, Urban all-but confirmed that he would be going bald for the role, and the image he shared to his Twitter page today leaves no doubt about it.

Though typically portrayed as a foe of Thor's in the comics, Skurge did memorably team-up with the good guys to help them stop the destruction of Asgard, and actually sacrificed himself so that his new comrades could escape.

Can we expect a similar arc for the character in Thor: Ragnarok? Find out when the movie hits theaters on November 3, 2017.

The Thor movies are the weak link in the MCU. I'm keeping expectations very low for this.

With each passing moment, it just becomes more apparent that RAGNAROK is definitely gonna be the Thor movie we deserve to see. From Waititi stating that Thor is definitely going to be the most interesting character in the film without being shadowed by Loki, to the character and story elements being included.....yeah, bring it.

Original Star Trek III - Enterprise is destroyed
New Star Trek III - Enterprise is destroyed

A lot of Easter eggs and subtle call backs like that in this one.

You can't help but feel as if this movie is going to the the Thor film WE DESERVE.

The actors seem so enthusiastic about it. Feige said nothing but amazing things. The confidence and atmosphere surrounding this film is like nothing we've ever seen from any bother Thor movie.

Phase 3 is the culmination of everything that began in 2008. Every film seems like it's going to be nothing short of AMAZING! This Phase could be flawless.

@ComicsBornAndBred - Yep, TDW also proves that a conventional choice for a director is not always the best one. Everyone thought TDW was going to be a huge hit with Alan Taylor helming it given his work on Game of Thrones. But then.....

@ComicsBornAndBred - every upcoming film is feeling like an event and not just an obligatory sequel.

They're throwing in the Celestials/Eternals in this too? YES PLZ

Predicted quality of the CBMs of 2017 ranked (IMO btw):

1. Ragnarok

2. Black Panther

3. GOTG

4. WW

5. Spidey

6. Wolverine 3 (the dark horse)

7. JL

I reckon the top 5 will be within inches of each other in terms of quality.
