THOR: LOVE & THUNDER Reportedly Adds RAGNROK & BOURNE Actor Matt Damon

Though the news has yet to be confirmed, local outlets are reporting that Matt Damon (The Bourne Identity) has arrived in Australia to begin filming scenes for Marvel's Thor: Love and Thunder...

Matt Damon made a brief appearance in Thor: Ragnarok, and it looks like he might be set to return for Love and Thunder.

Though no major U.S. outlet has confirmed the casting yet, News.com.au is reporting that Damon and his family recently arrived in Sydney, Australia to begin quarantining at a private facility before he makes his way to the set to film his scenes for Taika Waititi's sequel.

The site doesn't have any details on Damon's role, but he portrayed "Fake Loki" in the God of Mischief's hilariously self-indulgent play in Ragnarok, so there's a chance he's set to reprise that role for another humorous cameo. Of course, it's also possible he's set to play a completely different character with a more substantial part.

In addition to Chris Hemsworth, Thor: Love and Thunder will Natalie Portman return as new God of Thunder Jane Foster, while Tessa Thompson will also reprise her role as Valkyrie. It was recently revealed that Christian Bale will portray the villainous Gorr the God Butcher, and it's also been confirmed that director Taika Waititi will once again provide the voice of Korg.

Several of the Guardians of the Galaxy also look set to appear, and there are rumors that Beta Ray Bill might feature in some capacity.

If this is accurate, expect the trades to weigh in soon. We'll keep you updated.

@FernHill - the “people“ Who hate Matt and trey are a product of the times; soft as tissues sjw cry-babies who have nothing better to do than whine on twitter like a backed up mule. People like me, who grew up watching the first episodes of SP while in school, still appreciate them greatly. Even more so now because they refuse to back down against this wave of just weak soy-boi sauce nonsense that we hopefully don’t have to deal with for much longer.

@globaltravels - they will not only be drowned out, they will also be canceled. Think about it. Comedy Central is not just not immune to the new way of thinking, they will eventually embrace it. It’s just the way things go.

@OmegaDaGrodd - My bad. I forgot it was just a "V" in the title and not a "Vs".

Speaking of which, I always found the reasoning for that title stupid. Zack and David Goyer thought the "Vs" sounded too confrontational and didn't want it to sound like the whole movie was a massive fight between the two. Ironically, the confrontation between Batman and Superman was the whole plot of the movie.
