Transcript from Empire:

Hiddleston has now seen the film, and while it's no surprise that he likes it, he sounds genuinely effusive about it. He compares it in tone to Richard Donner's Superman: The Movie. "Chris [Hemsworth] is like Christopher Reeve in that he can do two things: he can wear a big red cape without a shred of self-consciousness. But he's also funny as hell, and he's so sweet. So with all the fish-out-of-water stuff, he's so funny. So he does almost two jobs in a way."

Thor is set to hit theatres on May 6!

I wish they kept the pony tail like in the concept art. It was a great way to balance out the giant horns in the front of his helmet.

i'm betting him controlling hulk will be like the first 20-30 minutes of the movie. the avengers stop it, and then the skrull invasion(?) begins.

That's indeed an immense amount of praise for Hemsworth, being as how I consider Reeve the greatest superhero of all time.

THOR will amaze all of us to some degree.

Still think I'm hearing too much about comedy. Thor is not a comedic character. Sigh.

Oh well. Still looking forward to this though but not with as much enthusiasm as when it was portrayed as a dramatic epic.

@JerBear- Dead on. That's what fish out of water means. Lest we not forget as well, it's frickin Kenneth Branagh directing. He oozes dramatic epic. I think they're playing up the lightheartedness for the benefit of those who aren't fans...yet.

Is this movie going to err in tone? I say thee nay!
