Marvel Knights Animation is proud to announce "Thor & Loki: Blood Brothers," an all-new four-episode series debuting on iTunes, Xbox LIVE, and PlayStation Network on Monday, March 28. Further episodes debut weekly on Wednesdays beginning April 6, with each high-definition episode priced at $2.99 (standard definition is also available at $1.99/episode).

"It's been an incredible experience developing and producing 'Thor & Loki: Blood Brothers,'" says Ruwan Jayatilleke, producer of "Thor & Loki." "The source material by Robert and Esad is absolutely brilliant and works on so many different levels as a story for multiple mediums. To be honest it's been an honor--and a blast--to work with the talented creatives of Magnetic Dreams, Edge Studio, Underground Music, and NYAV! What we've put together as a team will further define and push the boundaries of what Marvel Knights Animation can be as well as entertain comic book enthusiasts and mainstream fans with a very compelling piece of content."

I always thought and hoped they would make a animated movie, or full on series using the graphics they used to make the movie scenes from the X-Men: Rise of Apocalypse video game. Those were the sh1t.

This looks to be quite something ..

Possibly permitting Marvel to do a darker story than for the movie coming out.

I always hated motion comics until I saw Astonishing X-Men, that was class. So I'll definitely give this a go.

how is possible that this look better than the real movie?

This seems more adult oriented, more intense, darker, promising.

why the Marvel movies dont seem as good?

I like it! The story looks like it could be a good basis for a sequel to the movie (although I'm not quite sure where the movie will leave the characters)

Am I a whiner for thinking this looks better because of the tone of the trailer?

When it comes to animated tv shows and movies DC > Marvel by far

When it comes to live-action movies so far Marvel > DC by a bit.

a mistake about someone's name isnt a lack of intelligent.

but of course you cant understand that, so, no explanation needed.

Nice design.Hate the clunky motion comic style animation.A waste. If animated properly this could have been amazing.

This looks pretty awesome! If motion comic "films" take a lot less time then a regular animated film, then they should make more of these using other heroes!

[frick]ing motion comics... It's such a [frick]ing horrible idea. Why spend that much money trying to animate 2D drawings, when they could make a much better looking cartoon or CGI film from scratch?

That said, I'm glad that they've molded the art to a CGI model, and it also looks like they are expanding on the story (as the Thor/Loki fight scene shown in the trailer is actually from one of the covers, not the actual story), which could be interesting. The visuals are definitely an improvement on past motion comics, but still not all that great.

However, the key area that EVERY SINGLE motion comic has lacked in (and that ultimately ruined them) was the voice acting. So far, Spider-Woman herself has been the only character to get a properly good actress to play the part. Every other character has been sub-parly played by a bad actor (or the same actor doing a very horrible voice). Hopefully they've gotten the actors that played Thor & Loki in the Hulk vs. Thor film, or from Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Please, Marvel, don't let me down on the adaption of one of my favorite miniseries from you guys.

If you guys are bored, look up a short called "Blackwater gospel" you can find it on Twitch.com. If they could take this detail and attach it to the animation used in the short, it would be epic.

Hey there, I'm the producer on the Thor & Loki: Blood Brothers animation for Marvel. and it's great seeing such a strong response to just the trailer. The animation team (Magnetic Dreams) and I have been poring over this project for over 6 months and are really happy with what we think is going to be a compelling piece of animation for fans of Marvel or just some serious storytelling. I know there is a fair bit of apprehension about seeing this story translated to animation with movement, special effects, voice acting, music, and sound effects...but trust me...we spent a lot of time making sure we would develop something that would entertain people. And personally, we're pretty proud of what we achieved under a very crazy schedule. Believe me--I want Thor and Loki to be received with lots of fanfare as I know Esad, the artist who drew this magnificent story, and Robert who crafted the words. Wouldn't want to to let them down or get pummeled by them either. Ha.

Thanks again for the support so far--and I hope once Thor & Loki gets released on-sale that we exceeded your expectations.
